We are also having the same problem with the heater...We took it to our friend who is a mechanic and he fixed it, but 2 days later it would only work on 5. now it wont even work on 5 it still blows out hot air but it wont turn on unless you play with it and sometimes it refuses...I called Pontiac about this issue he claims he's never heard of this problem which is funny since i found a forum stating 14 pages of people having this same problem...He said the only people who can make a recall is the government...I'm looking for rick wagners number right now since the guy refused to give it to me stating I had to send him a letter to speak with him. I have a 1 year old son this is our only car and I'm not paying $18,000 for a car with no heater...specially when so many people are having this problem....Maybe we should all call rick wagner and tell him how we feel since he's taking the cheap way out...On the forum we read mechanics say no matter how many times you fix it it will go bad again because the heater needs too much voltage for the car...shouldnt this have been fixed

The manual indicates that the heater will activate if 32 degrees or below. However, in my case it has to be far colder.heat won't activate unless it's below freezing. It is a problem with the defrost also.
