Grand Prix SE 3.1L

The parking brake cable was reported to be rusting before the issue occurred. Pressing on the parking brake pedal did not help. I found that I was able to temporarily disengage the brake by slowing down or reversing. However, I would advise to stop immediately and have the car towed to a repair shop.
