I've read two other complaints (10187874 - 10154674) in regards to the no-start. I've had concerns with this for over a year. Rarely, the car will start fine. Mostly, I found that I must give acceleration at start-up for a successful start. Otherwise, the car will either not catch or it'll jerk and stall out. Other than this, the car is fine. It's annoying, but I've grown used to it since it's on an every-day level. I live in tn, so we are in relatively warm climate. It's not an issue of weather. I contacted my local Pontiac retail facility and they advised me they have two other gp's with the same issue. They said it may be the fuel pump going out. I haven't taken it in yet.

Same problem as complaint # 10154674. Intermittent starting problems. Start engine cold-starts 1 out of 3 times. Drive car for 10 minutes, turn off & let sit for 10 minutes, then try to restart-starts 1 out of 10 times. Car tries to start, but stalls as tachometer reaches highest point then returns to zero. Will start if gas pedal is pushed down while car is initially trying to start. Did complaint # 10154674 find a solution"?? dealer charged me $500 to "clean carbon out of engine"-problem got even worse after that- I don't want to keep "fixing" things that don't fix the problem. Could recall campaign id# 05V046000 have anything to do with problem even though temperature 0 to 60 degrees F ??"

Completely random and intermittent starting problem. On some starts, vehicle will turn over, and catch, but when RPM's rev up then come back down, car stalls out. No consequences, as the vehicle has never stalled while driving. Once this occurs, driver must apply light throttle when turning vehicle over again, in order to make it catch. Have contacted dealer, as well as GM Canada, and both believe it to be a cold weather start problem, however, this has occurred in all 4 seasons, even after driving car for a while, then leaving for 10 minutes and coming back. Car is currently being driven by dealership service manager for him to trouble shoot problem and experience symptoms. Vehicle has not left us stranded, however, problem is frustrating and seems to be getting worse.

Car shut off while driving at highway speeds. I was driving on highway at around 55 mph and the car shut off, leaving the vehicle inoperable while still moving at highway speeds in traffic. Car was pulled over to the side of the highway and had to be placed back in park and then restarted.
