On February 8, 2019, my mother was pulling into a maintenance garage to get an oil change. Upon pulling into the garage, she was unable to stop and her vehicle lunged forward. As a result, he vehicle hit an employee, went through the maintenance garage door, through the parking lot, across a four lane street, and eventually stopped in a field across the street from the oil change venue. This is an approximate distance of 300 feet. Upon further review by my mechanic, it was discovered the ABS system was malfunctioning causing the brake pedal to drop in the car, and the car not to stop. The wiring harness also was cracked resulting in a cut to the ABS wire, causing the ABS malfunction resulting in the car to not stop, and the electrical malfunction which caused the car to speed forward. General Motors was notified, but denied responsibility of this claim.

My vehicle ignition turns to on mode when driving and I loose all power. I have already had the recall replaced. This car has died on me several times on the highway, on the streets and just pulling up in my own driveway. I now cant enjoy my car because for me this is a major safety issue. GM should have replaced the entire ignition switch.

Recall N140574, case #[xxx] on 2/7/19, my son's car got stuck 2 blocks from home on a residential street. The Grand Prix was driven there to see if he could be pushed out, and got stuck - along with 4 other cars. We tried to push the car out, but it wouldn't move. We left the car running while trying to push the other vehicles. While walking from the car, we heard popping sounds, and saw a flames under the hood - passenger's side. My friend reached in and shut it off. I called the police. Fire trucks put out the fire, and a tow truck was called to get the car off the snow route and taken to an accident impound. The next day, I called GM and was assigned a case. A week later, I was assigned a pac unit rep, to investigate my case. I have many emails and pictures following my case. GM has provided a lot of misinformation, lack of communication, and no problem resolve. There were issues involving the title, but I resolved. I had to take the pictures for the investigation, even though I was told reps would be sent over. I went to a local dealership, where the service department tried to contact the pac unit. They also did not respond to him. After many visits to gateway dealership and assistance getting my information to somebody with General Motors, it was determined the recall caused the fire. Oil dripped on the manifold. My car still sits in the impound at $30 a day. I have left numerous messages and emails asking for updates and resolve. The last I was told is that GM would repurchase my car, and send the paperwork to sign. That was 2 weeks ago! the local service rep had to stop helping me due to a job change, so I am left not knowing what is happening. The pac and GM customer service are not returning calls or responding. Can someone please help?? [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

It had exploded & caught on fire in less than 1 min after I got out, shut it off, pulled the keys & walked in my home. Fire department & police responded. I have pictures, & filed a fire & police report.

My heat/air conditioning has gone out twice. It will only work if the fan is wide open and will not cut off once you turn the switch off, therefore draining the battery. Also, every time it rains my passenger floor boards front and back are saturated with water. This is a safety issue due to the fact I have no way to defrost my windows in the wintertime and can't see to drive. I'm sure the flooding has something to due with shorting out the blower on my air/heat.I don't think I should have to continue to pay to have this repaired. Once should be enough.

The contact owned a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. The vehicle was included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 15V201000 (engine and engine cooling) and 14V400000 (electrical system). The manufacturer had not supplied the parts to the unknown local dealer within a reasonable time frame and the contact experienced a fire related to one of the two manufacturer recalls. The dealer was not contacted. The contact had just left a refueling station and noticed a burning odor. After the vehicle was parked and the contact exited the vehicle, a fire started. A fire inspector extinguished the flames and stated that the fire entered the front passenger side of the vehicle under the dashboard. A fire report was not filed. The vehicle was destroyed due to the failure and the insurance company towed the vehicle to their location. The insurance company advised the contact to check the status of the manufacturer recall. The vehicle owner contacted the manufacturer, but had not received a response. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.

In an effort to have multiple outstanding safety recalls addressed on the subject vehicle, I contacted by phone a local GM dealer (lone star Chevrolet, 18900 northwest freeway, jersey village, tx 77065 281-517-7733), whose contact information is listed in multiple recall notices received by me. I was informed by the dealer representative with whom I spoke that "they don't do recalls on this vehicle" and that I would need to contact some other GM dealership in order to have these safety recalls addressed.

I purchased my vehicle, shortly after I brought it in to midas to have it looked at, after I was told extremely bad news that my vehicle had some major problems and it was going to cost a lot of money to fix it but luckily it's under a safety recall for my model make and year, although when I took it in to merit Chevrolet I discussed my concerns with them about my vehicle and how a lot of the things discovered wrong with it, had to do with multiple of the recalls. The conversation got nowhere and they told me that since my VIN number wasn't on the recall that it was impossible for the problems discovered to be related to the recalls I was told were related and that there was nothing I can do, unless I wanted to call GM customer service. At this point I'm very frusterated and have already spent so much money on this vehicle and now I'm being told that although each problem I'm having is specified for my year make and model I'm unable to be helped. So also saying that later when this kills me, it will remain not important. I have the NHTSA #'s of every problem I am experiencing... 15V7010000, 05V046000, 04V299000, 04V287000, 03V331000 and if someone could take me and the issues that my car is having seriously I'd love to bring it in. Merit Chevrolet might have switched the valve cover, but they did nothing to resolve the issue of engine oil leaking in my manifold. I arrived there and left there with the same problem and safety hazard. My engine is still at risk of igniting fire and you'd think if someone is going to fix a problem, they would fix the problems that have resulted from that problem because my life is still at risk. (also I was unable to select more than 3 affected parts, and the one more affected is the steering)

On March 16th 2016 while on the way to a doctors appt. We tried to used the right rear seat belt, however we could not get the seat belt to pull out so we could use it. On the way to the drs. Office we smelled a strong odor of oil and antifreeze in the car. When we got to drs. Office we noticed smoke coming from under the hood. So we let the car sit there until after the appt. When we got back to car we checked under the hood and could not find any oil of water leak, so my wife was driving me back home when the car completely cut off and stopped running, she had no control of the car at all. So I helped he turn the car off to road to the shoulder until it stopped. After looking I noticed the key was in the off position, I tried to start the car and it started right up I drove the car on home, and that's where it sits now!!! please help!!!
