Driving about 60 mph and coasting. I put my foot on the pedal to keep speed because i started to slow and nothing happened. I put more force on the pedal and still nothing. I put the pedal to the floor and nothing happened. the engine wasn't even revving. the Drivers Information Center said "reduced engine power". I pulled over and i opened the hood and couldn't see anything wrong. Check engine light was on. I shut it off to let it cool and when i tried to turn it back on i had to give it some gas to even start it. even when it cooled off i had to give it gas to start it. Once it started it wouldn't rev. Had it towed and used the code reader to read the codes. If i can remember i think it was saying something about the exhaust manifold and the mass air flow sensor. Wrote down the codes cleared them and my car was running again. It does have a misfire and does have a tick when starting it up.

I Called and wrote GM and Pontiac with no luck. They didn't care! The engine went out within 3 yrs. But I was over on miles because I drive a lot on the highway daily to work.
This should have been covered under warranty!!!!!!!

Hi,
I recently just purchased a car at West Side Motors in Orange City, Ia. I purchased this car on July 10, 2014. They lowered the price 500 dollars so they took away the 30 days warranty. Right after I purchased this car the air went out so I had to replace that. Now the motor just went out in the car. My dad and I contacted the dealership and told them what happened and they stated it was "inspected" before it left the lot. The mechanic said something like this doesn't just happen. They are not willing to do anything about it.
I haven't had this car for very long and I take very good care of my vehicles and they told me there wasn't a thing wrong with it. Josh the guy that sold it to me said if you have any problems with the car "which I don't think you will" just let me know and we will take care of it. Now that there is something majorly wrong with it they are not willing to do anything about. They said they will fix it but will charge me whole sale price with labor. I'm a single mom, I have no idea what my options are but there is no way I can afford a new motor, I already owe more than the car is worth. Is there anything I can do?
Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions for me.
