So. Completely. Annoying. I have the same exact complaint as everyone on this string. How did everyone fix this issue? Many thanks for your help.

Grand Prix GT 3.8L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 89,000 miles

The ABSOLUTE EXACT same as everyone described is going on and it is SO irritating. crackling, static that seems to change pitch when accelerating. Happens when hitting a bump, pot hole, railroad tracks, slammin doors, and sometimes even turning. Can also be reversed by these things. Just bought this car Jan 17, drove EXCELLENT until I got home, had multiple problems, and of course bought it as is no warranty :(

Grand Prix GTP 3.8L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 40,000 miles

I have a static noise problem that comes out of the speakers, especially when you hit a bump. Radio volume control does not reduce it. You hear the frequency go up when you accelerate. Sometimes it goes away if you hit another bump or when you turn, but not always. It's really annoying, and I'm not sure what the problem is, but it's happening more frequently lately. Does anyone know what causes it?

I had to adjust the balance toward the left side of car so I can't hear the noise so much. it's really bad.

Grand Prix GT

Staticy, crackly noise where you can also hear the engine sound when accelerating is coming from the driver door speaker. Don't know what it is. Comes and goes especially when you go over speed bumps.
