we purchased a 1998 pontiac montana van brand new and we have tons of problems; transmisson going at 90,000km. to wires burning; sliding door not working from the start headlight pots falling apart. now we have a problem with the water pump. also overheating due to head gasket or cracked head. we have not any help from GENERAL MOTORS. Apparently general motors knows of this problem as lots of people having to get motors redone. please help us. When we got our transmission done the mechanic said the problem was a defect. we talk to a G.M. person LILY service rep; she offered us 2500.00 only towards a new G,M. which had to be purchased within 30 days and also a verebal agreement. This has been the worst experience ever in having a GENERAL MOTORS VECHILE. My dad work for G.M FOR 30YEARS THIS WAS OUR SECOND PURCHASE NEVER AGAIN. There is numerous problems lots of recall, too many to mention. I don't know if you can do anything for us; but as of tomorrow April 3 our van has to go to the dealer ship to find out if we have a cracked head. Our mechanic can not fix it and recommends we take it to the dealership.I AM WORRIED BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOT HELPED US BEFORE.
