I've just purchased a 2002 Pontiac Montana extended wheel base. The fuel gage reads full all the time, and just before the tank runs dry, the gage drops to empty and the low fuel warning light comes on. The gage never reads anything in between regardless of how much fuel is in the tank. In 2001 I leased a brand new 2001 Montana extended wheel base and 2 years into the lease the fuel sender and sensor did the same thing that the Montana I've just purchased is doing. Luckily the 2001 was still under warranty and the cost of the repairs were covered. This time I'm going to have to pay out of my own pocket.
You can bet that I will be contacting G. M. and letting them know what I think about this happening twice to me with the only two Montanas I've had. Hopefully they can help with the cost, but I'm not holding my breath.
If anyone else has had the same problem please let me know.

I have had 2 Pontiac Montana's, both of which have had the same problem with the fuel delivery system. I was looking into buying another one tonight, but I just found out it has the same problem as my current one!
