Had no heat, got heat heat only when giving it gas, then the fan would come on and the computer when AC on saying that the air conditioning was being turned off to protect engine. The engine was just started? It overheated that fast. This went on throughout the winter but did not know what it was. We had the rad flushed and the thermostat changed, it helped for about two weeks. Then my wife went out and the phone call I got was the car had caught on fire, according to my eight year old. After bringing it in and having it tested it was found that the head gasket was the problem, this happened Kuly 2014.

It's now April 2015 we are having the same problem. I thought it was the tranny oil but it wasn't, it is the coolant from the head gasket. My mechanic also asked me does it shake sometimes? I said yes, he said that is the engine losing power from the gasket and it will only get worse. Tomorrow I bring it back to the guys that fixed it and they have to replace it at their cost this time using aftermarket gasket, which by the way are much better then GM. Will keep you informed as the situation arises.

Don't buy GM, that's why they are losing the battle, rightly so, their products suck and they know it............ They know problems exists but won't do anything to help.
