Pursuit G5

  • Automatic transmission
  • 122,410 miles

Getting ready for work this morning I started my car about 10 minutes before leaving to let it warm up. When I came out to leave the car was stalled and the battery was drained. I tried boosting it with another car but after 5 minutes of boosting the car still would not start and the booster cables were so hot they were about to melt. I realize that there is something not normal here so I disconnected the battery and waiting to see if anyone knows the reason for this "short circuit"

Pursuit G5 2.2L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 15,000 miles

While driving on highway, lost power, transmission started to change gears, started to slow down.

Had the car towed to the dealer (couldn't drive it). At the dealer, got the problem code but it seems the lost it and wiped the data from the module. Car worked fine for 2 days until it started again, finally able to get the code, problem with the wiring. Found one of the wires loose in the plug. Dealer cleaned it and put it back together. Everything seems to work fine. Lost 4 days because of the problem.
