CAR FOR 16 YR OLD STEP SON FROM HIS TIGHT WAD DAD!! SOME TIMES WHEN IT DOES NOT DIE IT ACTS LIKE CARB LOADING UP

IF YOU GET UP TO 45MPH OK! HE JUST GOT THE CAR, HELP! It will die at a stop light. then it will start up but when put in drive the motor will die I can drive 1/2 of an hour before this problem starts? has new drist cap, plugs wires new module rotor, please give info I would like some input.
