Main running lights and head lights work once in awhile and sometimes during travel stop working leaving me with fog lights and marker lights to drive on the highway with to work. I have been having this problem since November 2007 and taking the car into "GM PONTIAC DEALER REPAIR CENTERS". It is totally awesome on the highway being flashed by high beams every five minutes, one guy even put his flooders that are located above the cab on at me and I almost ditched the car, 6 - 8 high beam lights all at once from a 1/2 ton truck made my morning! Going in Wednesday to change a pcm or something one of the mechanics suggested "could" be the problem, bye bye $350.
Current cost of repair still not fixed: $800 Canadian

Purchased a Used Sunfire in Dec 2007
1.March 2008 -AC blower works only on high. The regulator was blown. Backup lamps won't work. Fog lamps won't work and headlamp only on High. Mechanic saw few corroded wires in front wire harness. Fixed everything for $350.
2. June 2008 - Similar headlamps problem again. This time no lights at all! Mechanic saw a bunch of corroded wires in front wire harness and suggested change in front wire harness which would cost up to $1230!
Totally freaked out right now!

This is the second time I've had the wiring harness go on this car. Once in Sept. 2005, and now 2 and a half years later. Paid $329.76 to have it repaired first time. Why won't GM admit this is a design flaw and do a recall to have the problem fixed???? Dealership better be footing the bill for the new wiring harness.

Where does the GM Incompetence will stop.
They know about this issue, they have emitted a technical recommendation about it.
I had it repair 3 time under warranty, Paid for the 4th repair 4 month ago, and need to go back there again.
I'm Industrial Electrical Engineer, So I know what I'm talking about, the design is flawed, the repair procedure is flawed and their technical staff Sucks.
To any GM Service Manager:
Hey dude, if corrosion attack a wire at a junction pint and break it. It is useless to skin it 10mm and re-solder it, since the corrosion will get about 20mm higher, So you will solder 2 wire which are already collapsing. First thing you will see, it will break again at he end of your soldering. REPLACE THE FREAKING WIRE IT COST NOTHING!
