Water builds up in the spare tire well when driving in rain. What the heck? I have had it up on a lift and cannot for the life of me figure out where the water is coming in? I am afraid if I just let it sit in there, I will end up dealing with rust later...the pad takes about a week to dry - in the sun - in the summer. Winter is here and now I will be lugging around 20 pounds of ICE!! I wonder if that will help with traction??? LOL!!
Update from Dec 7, 2010: I see others have had this problem. I am worried that having water in my spare tire well will cause rust, ruin tire, smell. Does anyone have a solution or know why this happens? Where is the water coming in from?

Spare tire well would fill up with water after we had a lot of rain - the water would then overflow into the carpet of the vehicle. Took a couple days to dry out the vehicle each time.
