This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Pontiac dealer.
Took it in in JAN-FEB 2x and dealer "couldn't recreate the problem". Dealer didn't research problem and dismissed me with a bill for other items.

We bought this car used last year so I was pleasantly surprised when we took it to the dealer for this problem and they fixed it for free.

Almost run down by a semi when I went to the right lane because acceleration wouldn't work - engine light on. Now need help fixing this problem. Dealer wants to replace the spark plug wire under special coverage that I found from GM, but make me pay for the spark plugs -estimate $400 and fuel injection. Now I'm waiting to see why they want me to pay for the spark plugs when GM says it's covered. Now price is $159 for fuel injection cleaning.
GM will not provide the special coverage in writing. Isn't that special. It's all over the internet about this problem in my car and it's been doing it for over a year, but getting worse.
