This really stinks! I had only had this car a very short time and it started running hard and the engine came on. I took it to my honest mechanic and had them fix it- they replaced (1) spark plug wire. Then approx. six months later it happened again, and again we got it fixed from our honest mechanic. (it happened again for a total of (3) times).

So a few months later, we receive in the mail a letter stating that this was a problem in many of the Torrent cars and to take it into the dealership to get it fixed. Well, we had already had to get them fixed from our mechanic, so now they are saying they will not replace these silly spark plug wires because we took it to another place and not to the dealership, (we did not have a warranty and they would have charged us an arm and a leg which we could not part with.) It was not stated in the letter that we needed to take it to the dealership to get it fixed, so instead, we took it to our guy and now a 3rd spark plug wire is out General Motors is a scam and so are their dealerships.
