While vehicle was parked in a parking lot, vehicle's description/tag # was called out in the store, informing driver of gas leaks in parking lot. Fire department called in to help clean up fuel spillages. Found out that fuel leakage was due to strap holding up fuel tank broke, allowing fuel to leak.can NHTSA help in this matter. Manufacturer notified.
