1500 Express 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 124,000 miles

Rear drivers side brake caliper seized. Could not drive for long distances. Would usually release itself it left sitting over night, but locked up shortly after driving next day. Replaced caliper and pads, turned rotor. Covered by extended warranty less $100 ded. Side note, this is my 3rd Dodge/Ram truck - all have had seized calipers, but neither the GMC nor Toyota trucks I owned ever did. Seems to be a Chrysler thing.

1500 Outdoorsman V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,700 miles

After receiving the "fixed" vehicle back from the service department, the left caliper locked up again at highway speeds of 75 mph causing the vehicle to go into the other lane and almost hit another car. The vehicle would pull to the left at speeds of 45 mph and above however the wheel would not turn. This was all after having the service department inspect, fix and validate the truck had no brake issue. The vehicle was once again taken to the service department where they said that it needed another new caliper, rotors and pads even before 3000 miles!!!!??????
