My 2013 Ram 1500 with a 3.6 v6 started to drip coolant and after two weeks I was able to get my truck into the local ram dealership. They confirmed what I already thought, I had a cracked radiator and it needed to be replaced. My truck has NEVER been off road or has it been abused whatsoever. In fact my truck looks brand new, even at the dealership they thought it was a 2016. That being said my truck had only 61,000 km and has a warranty until 100,000 km. So I told the dealership that this needs to be fixed under warranty and they informed me that it's not covered and they wanted $1100 and I made the point that how could this happen to a relatively new truck and they didn't care. I told them to return my truck right away.

I called Ram head office here in Canada and they said that it's too bad and that I'm on my own. I then called the head of the Ram division here and expressed my issue and how this shouldn't have happened and that this MUST be a manufacturer issue. Same results and they didn't care.

I found a local shop that deals only with radiators and the final bill out the door was $500, the dealership wanted $1100 and it should be noted that they installed a OEM rad and not an aftermarket unit.

The shop said that they see this often with ram and dodge product, so much so that they stock these rads.

I've owned Ford F-150 and it was an ok truck and this Ram truck is by far much nicer and great on fuel, I have no regrets on my Ram truck and this is a problem that shouldn't have happened and Ram should have stepped up and fixed this problem. I'm surprised at their lack of willingness to help and how the dealership tried to rip me off.
