1500 3.6L

  • Automatic transmission

Truck died while in traffic about 5 times in 13 miles. Usually starts back up. This time check engine light on with multiple codes. This has happened before but randomly. We are taking in asap, unsafe to drive.

1500 Big Horn 5.7L Hemi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 76,000 miles

3 times I'm coming up to a stop sign or a stopped vehicle. Apply the brakes and the truck stalls out. 1st 2 times, I put it in park and it started up. 3rd time, it would not start. I put it in park, turned the key, nothing. I did this several times, then removed the key, stuck it back in and it started. Only good thing is I was already stopped.

After multiple trips to the dealership the problem still cannot be diagnosed. The truck is going in again tomorrow after almost being rear ended by a semi when the truck died in another intersection. This is scary and we have bought a different daily driver as we can't sell something that cannot be safely test driven. The issue is when coming to a stop the truck silently dies, you don't hear anything, the radio is still playing, but the engine just stops. It tells you to put it in park and restart it. It always restarts, but there is no reason for it to die.
