problem #1

Nov 012017

1500 SLT 3.6L V6

Vehicle has approx. 177,000 km on it. It had a lot of issues when new but has been relatively problem free for the last 160,000 km or so.

Starting in November 2017, the airbag light and "service airbag system" warning kept coming on almost continuously. Sometimes would go on and off 20 times in 5 minutes. Was intermitent but extremely annoying.

Took it to the dealer who advised the "clock spring" in the steering column needed replacing. Cost $800 to replace. I've now found out this is about a 15 minute job and is a very common electrica. issue with Chrysler vehicles. I've never had any issues like this on any other make of vehicle I've owned.
