The shifting knob is very dangerous, the truck has run away in reverse twice, this time it knocked me down and ran over my leg which is now in a cast, could have easily killed me. The side of the truck is damaged and now at Dobson Chrysler being fixed. My son's truck, which is identical to mine, has done the same thing however no bodily damage was incurred. The nurse who set my ankle had a similar experience with a rented Ram with this knob shifter and I just was informed that a RCMP officer in Fredericton had her rented Ram run over her and she required 9 hours of surgery and will be off work for a year.
This is a serious problem and if not addressed someone is going to be killed if not already. Why not use the column shifter, it seemed to work fine for the last 100 odd years. Christ, we seem to be stupid about some things, we change things for the sake of changing them, not to make things better or safer or more cost effective. This ordeal will put me off work for a month or more, likely cost me $2,000.00 or more to fix the truck and all for the sake of a knob!!!

Shifter Knob didn't lock into park. The truck jumped into reverse and hit cabinet in my garage. Dented and scratched my rear bumper. Not the first time this has happened. Did it before in parking lots ect. but luckily didn't hit anything.
