I have had problems with my tonneau cover not working properly since I bought my ram brand new in 2014. I had it worked on twice by the dealership that put it on, but to date I still have not had it working...they are ordering me a new cover now, but I had another dealership say it is on crooked. What happens is the clamps continue to fall off pretty much daily so the cover doesn't stay where it should when I open the bed up and so I have to lift the corner to get the bed shut.
I have now noticed the bed has a crack that is about a thickness of a sheet of paper wide that runs only from the front of the bed all the way to the front of the back wheel well. Its between the smooth part of the bed that runs down the side of the truck and over the wheel well and the first grooved part of the bed (I_www_I {best picture I can draw with the computer. Its suppose to be like if looking into the bed of the truck, the issue is on where the _ meets the W }). I was told by several people it doesn't look right, you should not be able to see driveway through your bed. I sent photos to the guy at the dealership because I have been out of town, he says that is how all the trucks are...I am thinking he is tired of me gripping about my issues (3-4 I have had in the last 48K miles).
Could this be a misaligned bed? I am going to ask next oil change, but thought I would ask/complain here first.
