1500 Sport 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,442 miles

I purchased this 2014 Ram 1500 on August 2017 with 19,000 miles. When it reached 30,442 the water pump began leaking water. I called the dealership and they were willing to change the water pump. They had the truck for three weeks, allegedly because they did not have the pump. Finally, yesterday after exactly three weeks they called me to tell me that the truck was ready. I went this morning to pick it up and incredibly they told me that parts and labor was included but the coolant NOT. What???? They said that Dodge does not cover the "liquids", if you need to get your transmission fixed, they will fix it, but the oil and the filter is not included under warranty, if they fix your engine, the oil and the filter is not included under warranty, incredible!!! So I had to pay $29.98 just the coolant they had to pour in order to check there was no leak anyway, but still it is not included!!! GM includes everything, Dodge, Chrysler and I imagine now Fiat does not include the "liquids". Has anyone has had this problem? Could anyone tell me the logic behind this, because I do not get it. Thanks.
