1500 SLT 3.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 136,702 miles

Another case of the timing tone ring delaminating causing engine shutdown and no restart. Clearly a manufacturing defect that should be addressed by a recall and not something to hide behind a software update to keep the engine running long enough to get out of live lanes.

Another FCA $$$ grab having customers pay to fix their bad engineering.

Engine would not start the week after radiator, radiator cap, hoses, 6 spark plugs, 2 ignition coils, and full cooling fluids were done. Replaced by Midas.
