The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. While driving 70 mph, a digital message was displayed stating "see dealer" and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the catalytic converter needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed by the dealer that there was a manufacturer recall for the catalytic converter, but was denied coverage by the manufacturer. The NHTSA campaign number was not provided. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was 35,400.
