You will be driving up an incline, not a steep on. The engine starts missing like it needs a tune up. It'a noticeable miss. We have another problem with the dash screen. The screen in the middle that tells you your mileage. It will start going in and out. Mostly, it blacks out. We have mentioned this to Dodge garage and they tweeked the screen but, it still does it, they also, tweeked the engine. Theyn still do the same thing. I, M worried that we'll be going down the road and the truck will suddenly stop in the middle of the road.

Hi, (to Chrysler) the facts: 1.- my truck suffer of a delay when you try to start moving, from the moment that you press the gas pedal and the moment that the truck respond and start moving. I can say is about 1 to 2 seconds delay 2.- the delay caused this week to be almost rolled over for incoming traffic. When you are at the very congested intersection and you need to get in to the incoming traffic fast this is not possible with this truck 3.- the truck does not change gears when it is lacking of power, you can press the gas pedal for about one inch an it does not do anything. 4.- again when you need to change lanes or you need to advance in a hill it does not happen. When you press the pedal you need to go all the way down for the truck to respond and when it happens it changes to a lower gear in such way that instead of having acceleration it is decelerating instead. 5.- when you need to start moving the truck slowly to approach some hing it will not do that it will jump and at that point you are close to crash it on the thing that you are approaching 6.-I gave you 2 months trying to become more familiar with the truck behavior, but what I found is that I can manually change the gears and make the truck to respond as a normal vehicle, changing gears gradually when it is losing power if I can make the truck to change gears with out jumping 4 gears down why your computer is not capable of do it? I believe that is unacceptable. I pretty sure that the truck can have computer issues, or the gas pedal transmitter or the gas actuator have issues, or the computer program is not working as a planned, or transmission issues I need your help solving these issues thank you very much

There is a disturbing trend among automakers to eliminate dipsticks from their transmissions. This can be potentially dangerous. I purchased my 2014 Ram 1500 new late last year. Returning on a road trip to New Jersey last month the transmission jerked horribly. Once back home I promptly took it to the dealer for service. They reprogrammed the shift points and it worked smoothly for a few weeks. Then it started slipping at 10 mph. I brought it back to the dealership. They checked the fluid level from the fill port on the bottom of the pan and discovered it was a quart low from the factory. This is a terrible design and forces owners into three options ; 1. ignore their transmission.2. have to take it to an expensive mechanic or the dealer. 3.this is where it can get dangerous, get underneath their vehicle with the engine running to get the fluid to the necessary temperature to accurately check it. Hundreds of thousands of shade tree mechanics will endanger their lives to check their fluid levels. Ford has a similarly flawed design on its pick up trucks as well. Had I known about this before I bought the truck I would have gone for the Chevrolet with the conventional dip stick set up. The main reason I bought the Ram was for its highway cruising range. I covered 750 miles on a single tank ( 32 gallons ). however there is more to the ownership experience than that. Being able to check simple things like fluid levels before, during, and after a cross country road trip and just around town is very important. With all the volumes of motor vehicle regulations on the books I don't know how this design was allowed to go into production. Also, the rotary shift knob on these 8 speed transmissions seems like a fatality waiting to happen. Also, the transmission pan is constructed of plastic with the filter built in to the pan.

Check engine light came on. That was 9/24/14. The check engine light has been through a myriad of "fixes". it is now 02/03/15 (5 1/2 months) - the check engine light is still on and the dealership has it in for "repair". the warranty requires that the vehicle not be driven when the check engine light is on, thus denying us of the regular use of the vehicle, which is critical in our cattle operation.
