When driving the vehicle, the headlights blink (as if you are on a bumpy road). Took to mack grubbs/columbia, ms for a recall issue and had them to look at lights. They told me they see that in a lot of those model trucks. I picked up my truck from the recall repair and was informed I owed $40 for diagnosis of the head light issue and that it would be $180 plus tax and labor to repair the passenger side and the same to repair the driver side. That is was a wiring harness issue. The service man told me and my husband that the is very common in the Ram trucks. 1) that should mean a recall. 2) our truck was in our possession exactly 2 years, 1 day when we dropped it off for the recall issue to be fixed (which was about a week after I had them to diagnos the check engine/lights and was told of a recall and set up the appt). 3) we purchased an electrical insurance at time of vehicle purchase. I do not reccommend this vehicle to anyone! the lights blinking on/off as you are driving makes oncoming traffic blink their lights or think you are trying to stop them. Not safe at all.

Ram is now refusing to give owners the option of daytime running lights on specific trucks, unless said vehicle is "for the Canadian market or is a fleet vehicle". previously, owners could request a sales code be added to their VIN to allow fca dealers to enable these drls. Drls are customer selectable on many other fca vehicles regardless of the intended market. Usa Ram truck owners, and fca dealers, have recently been denied the option of choosing a code Chrysler provided to enable these lights. On my specific truck with projector style headlamps, the option code is LM5, but different codes were provided according to light style and model year. LM5 enables a very visible drl on my model, that will grab the inattentive motorists eye. This issue spans many previous years and exists to the current model year. A very simple procedure allowing consumers the option of this safety item, is now denied to us. Although drls are apparently not mandated in the majority of the usa, as they are in Canada, I believe they should be at the very least user selectable. My hope is that fca could be forced to offer these codes again, and make it public knowledge that they are available.

The main headlamps stopped working while I was driving on the highway at night. I had to play with the knob to at 70mph in the dark to make them work again. They malfunction when the switch is set to "auto." Since then, the lights also turn themselves on intermittently when stationary in the middle of the night.

With around 14000 miles on my truck I was driving home and was alerted that my front left blinker was burnt out, moments later I was notified that my right front blinker was burnt out. A few miles down the interstate from that I was notified that my right fog light had burnt out. I was going to take my truck in the next day (Monday morning). Before heading to the dealership I inspected my front lights to find that my front driver's side headlight was out also. I waited until the sun came up and prior to heading to the dealership I checked the lights again. All were working so I didn't take my truck to the dealership (Monday mid-morning). Tuesday morning the cycle repeated itself getting notified first of the left front blinker, then the right front blinker, then the fog light. I saw no reflection from the tail light blinker as well. My truck is currently at the dealership getting checked.

The 2014 Ram 1500 sport I bought has had repeated dash and interior lighting problems. The dash lights randomly flicker or don't turn on at all. On some occasions no interior lights at all would work. The truck has been back to the dealership three times but still hasn't been repaired. The dealership has done software updates, re-grounded the electrical system and replaced the body control module without fixing the problem. In addition the remote start sometimes does not start the truck it locks the doors instead, the dealership has been unable to find a solution. I feel that the dial used to select the drive gear is a potential safety hazard. The dial is a similar size and shape as the comfort and radio controls and placed right next to other dash knobs. I believe that a driver could intend to change the radio station or turn the fan down but inadvertently take the truck out of gear. Overall this truck has serious electrical flaws and the possibility of being knocked out of gear while driving. The vehicle is not safe in my opinion.

The headlights are unsafe. They are so dim you cant see anything in front of you at night. The brights were on for 15 miles and not one car flashed there brights at me. Looking at the internet they are 1000S complants of Dodge Ram headlights. The dealer where you bought it at just tell you to change the bulbs and that does nothing. This is a safety issue that needs taken care of right away.

My 2014 Dodge express truck headlights and fog lights are very bad for driving at night in the North West Washington state and are worthless in the rain; can't see headlights on the road surface. Please fix this safety issue I commute zip code 98031 to 98065 on hwy 18; it's over a 1300 foot high mountain pass. The headlights are useless. I feel unsafe at highway speed going down hill on the highway at night in the rain.

2014 Dodge Ram 1500. Consumer writes in regards to navigation system problems. The consumer stated the screen would freeze and turn black. Also, the system would display a different location, other than where the consumer was. The consumer also stated, the headlights shut off while his wife was driving, one night. She was able to pull over and turn the lights back on.

Driving the vehicle at night with both headlights and fog (driving) lights on does not provide enough illumination for safe travel. My wife and I both noticed several times that you cannot see at night when there is any wet pavement surrounding this vehicle. On the highway at 55 mph you cannot see your lights on the pavement (scary!). in addition, I drove the vehicle multiple times at night and found it extremely difficult to navigate with the stock lighting supplied by Dodge with this vehicle. I replaced the stock system with an aftermarket hid system to correct the defect at considerable personal expense. I would have expected Dodge to supply a vehicle of this type with proper lighting technology. Please see prior model years complaints. Dodge refuses to correct this defect even though multiple safety complaints been made regarding it. Also check Dodge truck forums and you will see there are multiple complaints regarding stock lighting systems on Ram vehicles.

The lighting system (headlights) on my 2014 Ram truck are dangerous to use at night. They are very dim and produce sub-standard lighting for safe driving. I am forced to use high beams during night driving. This is notably not safe for oncoming drivers, but it is the only option I have. After a quick internet search, this is a known problem with many Chrysler, Ram and Jeep products.
