This is the 4th time it's happened and also the 2nd time iv almost been killed!! I have a 2014 ram 1500 which iv grown to love. Iv have alot of issues but never complained and just took care of... yet the gauge cluster display decides to go into a party mode (strobing) and flickering or just flat out going black!!! I have bad eyes and twice now within 2 months driving at night iv gone off the road because of the flashing in my eyes! Iv found this is a common issue but the dealer told me I cannot get it fixed even though it's been recalled under other trucks! This has almost killed me! Please all I'm asking is to fix this for me... I love this truck but I'm terrified to drive it now with this issue let alone get rid of it and God for bid someone else has an accident. Please help a ram fan pile on the miles with a safe vehicle.. thank you for your time, im sorry for the long message but this is very serious and obviously a safety issue. Again, iv gone off the road and avoided a very serious incident that was caused by a faulty part. I completly understand parts going bad and having to replace them out of pocket. NOTHING SHOULD WORK FINE ONE MINUTE AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN START STROBBING IN ANYONES FACE. Thank you again

Instrument cluster flickers and fades. Impacts sensors - air pressure monitors alarms come on even though there is no issue with the air pressure monitors, having 2 different shops check on them and advising that they dont need replacing and that the sensors are good. Also triggered an alert that the car was not in drive - even though it was in drive. The truck would no go - I had to ashift back to park, turn the truck off and restart it also impacts in cabin lighting - it turns off and while driving it will turn on. This is a serious safety issue and there is no recall for it. Shop is unwilling to investigate and offers solution of replacing the whole instrument cluster which is over $1000 usd for the part alone. This issue is ongoing - and it seems to be impacting many many trucks.

The CHMSL 3rd brake light has failed in my 2013 RAM 1500. A Virginia State Inspection shop (AAA) indicated no power to the bulb. A RAM dealership's technician indicated it was the TIPM. A second dealership technician stated it is the Body Control Module. The cargo lamp lights do work fine. This was replicated using 2 sets of CHMSL lighting packages (no brake light, working cargo lights). The tail light brake lights work fine. There are no warning lights on the dash to indicate a problem.

Ram dash light problems I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 I am currently experiencing problems with the dash lights won't turn off. On the morning the battery was dead. I jumped. All other lights are off (headlights/interior/etc) except the dash and the light that shows it's in park and disconnected the negative terminal so I don't drain the battery.

Electrical seems to have affected 3 items all within the last 6months at different times: Non-related categories -(one fog light, front air bags & dash board dimmer switch) # 1 - (fog light) only passenger side, checked fuses, wiring and bulb - all ok, # 2 (dimmer switch does not dim driver side gauges/panel) and # 3- air bag warning light/- warning symbol/picture shows front air bags. Checked recalls, nothing reported on your site note: All other electrical devices etc are in working order at this time (fog light - stationary/performing a walk around for a road trip, gauge/panel- at a idle, air bags- when I started vehicle- warning light appeared, and dimmer switch - does not fully engage dim only dims roof light, not gauges- thank you for your time, have a good day!

2014 Dodge Ram. Consumer writes in regards to problems with ignition, lights and transmission. The consumer stated the vehicle was parked on a hill when it began to roll backwards and crashed through a gate. The consumer grabbed the wheel, from standing outside the vehicle, directing the vehicle towards an embankment, where it landed. The vehicle dragged the consumer along the way. The emergency brake was on. The consumer stated the key falls out of the ignition, but the vehicle continues to run. The mileage would not appear on the instrument panel. Passenger side headlight not working. Headlight is not blown, no fuse to change. Only fix is at the dealer. Serious safety issue while out on the road and no way to get to a dealer. Travel while it's dark a lot in a rural area with a lot of wildlife.

The Ram 1500, 2014, that I currently drive has terrible headlights. As the truck has gotten a little older the headlights have gotten much worse. They have always been terrible since day one. I have taken the truck to have the headlights professionally buffed out, and I have changed all four bulbs with the best bulbs I can find. Almost no difference. The truck is a danger to drive at night. I cant see at all. I am sure people have trouble seeing me as well.

My driver side headlight will collect significant water inside he assembly. It will fog over so bad that the effectiveness of the headlight is seriously diminished. This causes poor night vision. This is a safety hazards. Other oncoming drivers will flash me thinking I have my high Ram on. Visibility on the drivers side is severely impeded. I have removed the assembly and poured out 1/2 cup of water from the vent opening.

As previous recall on same model of trucks, the leak issue on the rear window or third brake is still present due to the sealant wearing off and not stopping rain from entering the cab and ruining upholstery, and eventually promoting rust from inside the cab. The vehicle can be stationary or in motion

4 separate times now, lost my headlights while driving at night. Information center showed low beams and high beams out, all I had was marker lights and fog lights. After sitting for a few minutes, thinking what was going on, the lights came back on. Each instance happened at night, while driving, after dark, and twice almost caused an accident.

Tipm (totally integrated power module) failure. Dealership fails to honor vehicle warranty and is not replacing the defective part under full bumper warranty. This 1 part causes many issues to the entire vehicle and major road safety issues. I have tried many attempts with dealer and manufacturer directly to have this warranty part repaired and they fail to honor such repairs. I see online that this exact part has many known issues and problems for many similar people. This 1 part affects all problems above because all these parts are electrically controlled.

All of the following in this review happens at all times. When in motion, stationary, all driving conditions and all times of day and night. Overhead console on truck where led courtesy map/reading lights have issues. Light flickers and dims when on. It makes interior visibility near impossible. Upon inspecting the unit the wiring going to the lights and sun room are chaffed and pose as a fire hazard and or equipment failure if shortage occurs. Rear third brake light seal deteriorates and lets water into the cab. This can rust out flooring and causes mold issues. Ruins leather seats. Also can deteriorate seat belts possibly as well as rust or cause weakness in seatbelts for rear passengers. Will severely damage and/or stain interior roofing, carpet, seat belts and/or seats.

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 1500. After the vehicle was placed in the park position and the emergency brake was engaged, the vehicle began to roll forward moments after the driver exited the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle crashed into the garage door. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the cause of the failure was unable to be determined. In addition, while driving, the vehicle failed to accelerate above 30 mph. On another occasion, while driving, the headlights became inoperable and the instrument panel flickered. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failures. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 15,000.
