Was told the exhaust manifold bolt/studs warped and snapped and the exhaust manifold is warped, this happened on the driver side first but was covered under warranty but now happening on driver side out of warranty. Was told my dealership they see this often and was told fca has fixed the problem in newer years by using stronger material in the bolts. This informs me that fca knows of the problem but the dealers won't cover it as a design defect. Clearly there is a design defect with the exhaust manifold bolts as they should not be doing this and manufactures are suppose to account for these parts to see extreme temp changes. This has happened now twice to me but because I am no longer under warranty they won't fix the problem. The fist time was before 60,000 miles and now the other side is happening at 76,000 miles. To summarize the problem is warped exhaust manifold bolts and the manifold itself.

While driving at interstate speeds for approximately 130 miles (2.5 hours), vehicle sputtered and lost power, it stabilized at~40 mph. A check engine light and red lighting bolt displayed. We exited the interstate and made course to a dealership utilizing smaller hwys. En-route to the repair shop, at about 40 mph, vehicle started emitting smoke to include inside the cabin. Stopped the vehicle and evacuated all 4 people inside. Flames and heavy smoke soon became visible as we watched from afar. Large flames grew and quickly engulfed the whole vehicle. Fire department arrived and put out the fire.

Bought truck 4 months ago, has been broke down now as of today 5 times. The most recent action was a couple weeks ago, I am a Pilot escort for ge wind industry, I was needed to stop traffic to keep public safe, when I'm needed to jump into action this truck fails, I need a replacement immediately, I was almost driven right into my driver side door by a 138 thousand pond tower section due to lag time, this truck is powerless, after recall my mileage went from the upper 30's to teens, it's been in shop every month I have owned it, currently waiting on a cooling system, on back order, I have owned this truck for 5 months, I have lost over 1000,000 in revenue, almost killed and killing others, I am losing my business now, I'm in succ a hole nothing will help me unless this truck is replaced immediately, this truck is extremely dangerous, I have nothing left, I need a truck that will simply work, I need to rebuild

The brake pedal keeps sinking numerous times before it stops. This clearly presents a safety hazard to occupants or pedestrians, and affects the drivers ability to safely control the vehicle. This happened on city street and highway on my way home. While driving it will brake properly a few times than it start sinking again. I feel it has to do with the master cylinder or booster. I also have video of the pedal sinking.

My vehicle has tremendous lag when trying to accelerate, but it is not all the time. I never know when pulling out into a road at a left hand turn if I am going to get throttle response or a dead petal. Too many times not I have been stuck with tremendous lag and almost rear ended by vehicles while turning onto a road. This was never an issue until a forced "fix" for a recall on the ecodiesel engine. Upon initial acceleration sometimes there is a 1-2 second lag before the vehicle even seems to accelerate at all. My mile per gallon has dropped several points and def is being over consumed. I do not know when the truck will accelerate or just lag out on me. I do not know if this is a motor or transmission or none of the above issue. I do know that many people with the "aem fix" for the recalled Ram is having the same issues. This vehicle does not seem safe to drive to to its unpredictability with acceleration. From a cold start, the vehicle is extremely sluggish for several minutes or miles, and that is in the warm ca sun.... I am waiting for the vehicle to not work at all. This has been ongoing for several months since having the vehicle "fixed"

After the mandatory emissions update on my ecodiesel I am going to get seriously hurt trying to get out in to traffic at a stop light or sign. There is serious lag in the throttle response and sometimes no response at all. How can something that was supposed to make us safer leave us so very vulnerable. Please, please, please for a fix to this issue. Also the update was not supposed to cause a change in fuel economy or the way our vehicles run. It is horrible. It's bad enough that the fuel economy is so drastically reduced, but seriously this is a huge safety hazard. Every time that I am at a stop and then push on my throttle I have no idea if the pickup is going to respond or not. Numerous times I have been stalled out with traffic coming at me both ways. It is an extremely frightening experience. Worse, I am considering an after market "tune" as are 1000's of others. This is not the answer to this widespread problem. Please make Dodge fix this terrible safety issue. How many preventable crashes will there have to be?

The dail shifter on our truck both directions reverse and forward will not go. We have to shut the truck off and do this a few time to reset the computer to be able to move the truck. Took this in to get fixed and they said they can't find the problem on a meter and we took extra insurance for this kind of problem. I would like some answers before we are stuck in 114-degree weather. At all different time when you try to drive night, day, stop sign, stoplight. It's happening often can't add that on when did this happen? Aug 30th was the last time!

I had the emissions recall/repair for the ecodiesel engines per the class action lawsuit between the epa and fca. Fca claims that it would not effect power or gas mileage. My truck now has a significant lag from a stop as well as from 10 mph to about 20mph when one hits the gas and tries to accelerate. This decrease in power makes this vehicle dangerous especially when trying to pull on to a street that has oncoming traffic.

Accelerator when pushed down to to pass another car will stick to full throttle and not release. This is a very dangerous situation, could cause lost of life, due to the truck would reach top speed and not be able to stop it. My son reach over and put truck in neutral and L rolled to a stop. Had the V08 done to my truck on May 14. The lag in the take off when U R stopped is going to kill somebody. When U give it gas it has a bad slow start at least 3 -5 seconds before U have the get up an go an when U do it is like a rocket. Didnt do this before the V08 tune. An the rpms R up almost to 1 an it setting still. This VO8 is a joke. It has messed up my truck. No good trying to pull a camper. Or even pull out with out a big space to do it in.

We came home from a short trip and discovered trailer was resting on truck bed. It towed fine on way home so we did not notice anything until we stopped to park it. We called a repairman who removed skin and found at least 9 broken welds. He said we were lucky we didn't kill someone. He called a welder to look at it. He said the front portion around hitch was built like a mac truck but the section past that was built like tissue paper. There was not enough support or bracing and that area flexed badly. He said we were lucky it dropped down slowly, if it had slammed down there could have been fatalities. Consumer stated both repairman and welder said faulty welds that failed and lack of support. Consumer called the dealer.

My touch screen goes black, freezes, and I cannot controll the heat or a.C, fan speed, volume to the radio, radio, heated seats, any electronic buttons on my steering wheel or any of the buttons that are connected to my screen/radio. My daughter's boy friend just purchased the same year turck I did and he started having the same problems with his screen.

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 slt 4WD cc I bought it about 6 months ago. About a week ago my friend and I were about to take a drive and when I started it my friend whom is a mechanic said you either have an engine knock or an exhaust leek. Well I checked it out at the dealer and well the exhaust leak was due to a broken bolt in the manifold and then the dealer calls me and says you have a lifter taping they said the extended warranty would fix it but I have seen a couple of videos and forums and this really needs to be a recall on both im not the only one whom has had this problem I love my truck but if you spend the kind of money that we Ram owners have this problem should be covered ive been treated wonderful by the dealer but this is something that needs to be recodnised by Chrysler and fixed by Chrysler ive only put 20000 miles on it it only has 82000 total this should not be a problem yet if at all I treat my truck like a part of the family it gets serviced regularly my truck should not be having these kind of issues please help do something about these problems someone needs

I had 2 more recall notices sent to our house in regards to this vehicle. I was unable to get the recalls done between the date they arrived here and the first of this year due to some health issues. Since recovering from the issues I got on this site to see what exactly the recalls were and now nothing pops up when I enter the VIN #. I called the dealer as well and asked and was told there is no recall at this time. I find this funny since ive gone to oither sites and looked up recalls and this vehicle has a history of 12 recalls. I as well know that not all of the recalls have been addressed.
