service shifter, service ABS, check engine, stuck in park

Bought the truck in April 2015 in Fl at Daytona Dodge. Moved to Wa in 2016. Truck cost around $550 a month and never expected to have a problem with a brand new vehicle. I even bought the extended warranty. Then on 19Jan2017, I start the vehicle and it says service shifter. None of the lights on the shifter dial light up, so I'm stuck in a vehicle that starts but can't be driven. I Get a tow to the nearest dealership where they say it will take 2 weeks just to get to it since they are backed up. Thankfully they got to it the next day but found out that the TIPM fuse box and attached wiring harness had a white substance all over it and that it had corroded the some of the wires to the point where they were frayed. At this point I was assigned a case manager from Chrysler who told me that this problem was not covered under warranty and that I should have washed my truck more. I don't even live in a place where they use salt since it doesn't freeze and I've only driven through MN once in the winter and of course I washed my truck afterward. The price to repair was $1200, NOT covered under warranty or insurance. I can't believe a less than 2-year-old vehicle with regular maintenance completed and less than 25,000 miles is already costing me more than 1k in repairs.
