I purchased this truck in Nov 2015. I have seasonal allergies but they normally do NOT affect me in winter. Consulted with MD twice (usually NEVER see MD) and he recommended I increase my OTC meds.
By 7/16 dramatic increase of headaches, nausea allergy symptoms.
In 11/16 stopped driving truck and have had no symptoms at all.
Truck has been to dealership and had the following checked: emissions, exhaust leaks, mechanical issues and had an ozone treatment. Also had a Starcase Coating done to HVAC system. None of these repairs worked.
I have discovered that if I sit in any 2015 or 2016 Chrysler product, the same symptoms hit. I believe that this is an issue with a product used for interior, whether it is foam, glue, plastic, etc. I can sit in an older or 2017 product and have no trouble.
I have gone through the Chrysler customer service (case number 30446196) with no help. She referred me on to the Customer Arbitration panel and after completing all paperwork I was denied as this is not a vehicle warranty issues.
I am currently making extremely high truck payments on a truck that I love and cannot drive. I am driving a S10 pickup truck that is not mine and I do not feel safe in it. I am guessing that I am NOT the only one with breathing, nausea and headache issues in these vehicles and wonder how many thousands of others have increased medications just to be in their vehicle.
I am not sure where to go now, guessing I need an attorney for a buyback from RAM.
If anyone has suggestions, please share. Unfortunately this is not an "odor" issue or a simple fix. This truck, that I purchased so that it would last forever (why I bought a diesel and the extended warranty, etc.) is sitting in the driveway and totally unsafe for me to enter.
