Loss of power steering and simultaneous loss of speedometer readings. If one is down, so is the other. It happens mostly on start (intermittent), but has been known to happen while driving. First time was July 4, then it has happened at least 5 times since.

I can be driving down the road and the driver seat belt will unhook by its self. An I was pulling a trailer and the tailgate must of came open and I didn-??t notice and the trailer jack dented my tailgate.

I was driving about 35mph and I heard a thump and than a metallic dragging sound I pulled over and found my gas tank hanging from the rear strap the front strap pulled out of the frame and was rubbing on the rear drive shaft that was the metallic sound the T slot in the frame rusted out and allowed the tank mount to pull free from the frame my truck has never been used as a plow truck or off roaded its a family vehicle with 76000 miles that I bought new if I was on a highway or turnpike doing 55 or 65 mph it could have been disastrous

Antilock Brake System module has failed, causing the light on the dashboard, along with the traction control light, to stay on. This covers up any braking issues, as I am forced to drive with this light on; as Ram is not selling the ABS module, saying they are under "Engineering evaluation". The problem with my truck cannot be fixed at this time & I am forced to drive an unsafe vehicle. Reported to Ram, but no action taken to recall.

When driving the vehicle at 35 mph the vehicle jerks locks the wheels up and the vehicle revs up for a few seconds before returning to normal operational rpms. My vehicle has did this numerous times. Was driving to store got to store came out vehicle won't start just keeps turning over. From others that have the same vehicle ecodiesel I'm told it's the tone wheel/crankshaft position. And that the cheap plastic housing chips which causes the no start. Also recall for high pressure fuel pump. And the closest dealership to me can't get my vehicle in for over a month and won't provide a loaner vehicle. I'm well over 2 hours from any other dealership. I bought this vehicle from a dodge ram dealership and was told "NO RECALLS PRESENT " they even had me sign a paper that stated that and gave me a carfax that so no recalls and no recalls ever. But turns out there are 18 recalls for this vehicle. Bought thus vehicle November 2023. So now this vehicle is sitting in my driveway not running and can't get it fixed because the closest dealership can't because they have 1 ONE technician, and no other dealership will tow it to get fix free of charge. All of the symptoms are related to both recalls. High pressure fuel pump, and tone wheel /crankshaft position. Lastly a LOT of people are having to replace the intake manifold regardless of milage for this type of motor.

Upon startup the vehicle routinely fails to load the infotainment/center console. This failure prevents the operator from seeing the rear view camera. Nothing in the console comes online for several minutes and other times it loads just fine. It has occured on my truck more than 50 different times.

The engine seems to have failed. Yes it is available for inspection upon request. My safety was put at risk as the vehicle lost all power on the highway. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Yes, the vehicle has been inspected, but due diligence needs to be done on the part of the inspectors to get at the root cause of the failure. No, that was one of the most alarming and scary parts is that there were no symptoms, warning messages, etc.

Good morning! I own a 2015 Ram Ecodiesel. I am not the original owner. I am in California. The truck is not under warranty and the FCC will not help me nor the dealership. A few months ago I was towing my horses in a trailer and the truck started to lose acceleration, started to over heat, black smoke was coming out from under the hood, and it almost lost power going up a hill. It was very scary and it almost caused an accident and my horses were terrified. I barely got it to drive up the hill and pulled over to safe place. The truck was smoking black smoke, smelled terrible, and we felt in danger. I took truck to dealership in San Luis Obispo CA. It was diagnosed with a bad intake manifold, bad fuel lines, bad egr cooler. The estimate in costs was about $7,000. Luckily my husband is a mechanic and he performed the repairs. Than the truck was back up and running, no more black smoke, and it sounded better. On [XXX] I was hauling my horses and small only 2 horse trailer, same trailer, it-??s small, not oversized or too big for my truck-??.. the truck started to lag, lose acceleration and drive slow, then it started a knocking sound-??.. then a high pitch noise-??.. this was terrifying as we were on a very busy freeway. I pulled over and the engine started to smoke and make horrible noises like knocking and high pitch screeches. My husband and I and our two horses were once again stranded with a broken down truck. This time on a very busy freeway, highway [XXX] in California. The truck was towed to the dealership that day. We were stranded for hours with horses and no water on side of a freeway. The truck was diagnosed by Santa maria, CA dodge ram Chrysler with a blown up engine, that must be completely replaced. The repair is $20,000 or more. This is a common issue in these trucks. This truck is dangerous and needs to be recalled and taken off the road. All of these engines are bad and they should all be bought back. They were ruined after the emissions scandal. I was pulling out from my street that connects to a two lane highway. From my street you can see if cars are coming from quite a distance away. There was a semi truck in the distance going east bound in the direction I needed to torn into. There was absolutely enough room for me to merge out into the east bound lane without the semi truck even being affected. I was now about a 1/4 mile down the road and the semi was still aways back. Then, my truck started to sputter and not accelerate and as this a two lane road there at this point was nowhere to pull over. The semi was now coming up quick due to loss of power in my truck. I turned on my hazards by this time he was close and had to make an evasive lane change to avoid running into the back of me. Luckily, there was no on coming traffic. This is not the first incident of my truck losing power and almost being rear-ended. I purchased the truck from a dealer in December of 2022. They have not been of any help, and frankly they are not willing to do a thing to help. I'm at a loss and have no idea what to do. I feel I was sold a truck with a potentially dangerous recall that can cause a major car accident which could result in death. There is no resolve for this recall at this time. This recall not only puts my family at risk, it endangers the general public.
