Vibration at highway speed. Complained to two different dealerships and was ignored. I am a mechanic with 35+ years experience. I am absolutely certain that the problem is in the driveline and not in the wheels/tires. The vibration causes the truck to eat the tires. I am under 65,000 miles and on the fifth set of tires. Four different brands of tires. I've seen numerous complaints on this issue. I discussed a tsb with the dealership and was ignored again. After having my transmission repaired at the dealership under warranty, the vibration has gotten worse. I am reasonably certain the vibration causes the transmission problem that I recently had to have repaired under warranty.

' the truck was returned 9/20/2019 with the dipstick sitting out under the hood, the engine cover not on, with a scratch on the left fender, scratches on each side of the bumper, wrong tires and rims, my right front light and blinker are not working, and my truck has greasy hand prints all over it. To resolve this problem, I would like you to refund the $306.04 for the coolant flush(done), repair the scratches on the bumper and fender, fix the headlight and return my original tires and rims. When I first learned of this problem, I contacted chris dooley at boerne Dodge 9/21/2019, and was told that they would refund $306.04, repair the scratches and headlight(boerne says these are complete). I believe that this response is unfair because I need my correct tires.. I purchased this vehicle from boerne Dodge on 5/17/2019 so they should have records of the tires that were on the truck. My vehicle checkup report from boerne Dodge on 8/8/2019 says my tires where at 8/32 and I had a courtesy tire check from Firestone showing the right front tire is 6/32, left front is 4/32 and the rear tires are at 11/32 (brand new). Firestone stated that in less than 1,000 miles there is no way my tires went from 8/32 to 6/32 let alone 4/32. Also, would one of your used trucks be sold with tire treads that different? the difference in these treads can cause damage to the vehicle's differentials and/or viscous couplings. Firestone also said that the brake dust on the front tires would not have occurred when the engine was being replaced which ias state by the manager of your service department on 9/23/2019 when I went to address the issues above. I have also spoken to another Chrysler dealer and they said the two front tires are removed when an engine is replaced. At the time of my trucks repair there were 3 other trucks with the same issue. I am sure my tires and another trucks were switched.

Have a vibration or shimmy in the right rear tire, wheel or axle. Have put on new tires and rotated/balanced them. Dodge dealership has looked it over and tells me no problem. The 2014S had a shimmy problem. I've read many reviews of others having the same problem at or above 50 mph. Approximate date of occurrence below.

On 9/21/18 my husband was driving to the store down the interstate and his truck shut off causing him to coast to the shoulder. When he did he noticed some light smoke. He tried to pop the hood but it wouldn't pop so he got out and tried to see if it was caught and saw more smoke he looked underneath to see stuff dripping like melting from the engine compartment, at that time he went to walk around the truck to look for a fire extinguisher when he heard a loud explosion causing him to run back from the truck and call 911. In less than 5 minutes the entire truck was engulfed in flames and in the 25 it took the fire department to arrive the entire truck except the bed and rear tires were completely burnt down. 5 months prior to this the engine in this ecodiesel blew up while he was driving down the interstate and Chrysler did an complete engine replacement on it under warranty and due to their fault. The new engine only had 10-15K miles on it and to replace this engine you have to take the entire truck apart like a lego cab and all. Ram is not coming out with an ecodiesel in the 1500 in 2019 but Chrysler is not owning responsibility for the truck almost killing my husband. The truck was in motion on fire and on the side of a highway when it burnt down. It was in motion and on an interstate when the first engine blew with only 84K miles on a diesel.

While working on my truck, I left 1 box sitting beside the passenger rear tire. I smelled something burning and just thought someone had a fireplace burning. My son came out and asked me why the box was smoking. The sun reflecting from the chome wheel caused the box to catch on fire. This occurred on 8 April 2018 in pasadena, md at approx. 5 P.M. wile this is not a vehicle specific issue, it should be advised to others to be aware of the fire potential caused by the sun reflecting from the chrome on a vehicle.

Noticed during my first oil change at approx 1580miles that both front wheel hub bearings were leaking grease. I did not think much of it at the time, cleaning it. After approx 6000 miles or so, I checked the front two hub wheel bearings and again there was seepage of bearing grease coming out of the wheel hub seal. Cleaned it again. I last checked at approx 12000 miles and there was little residue still emitting from both front wheel hub bearings. I checked for wheel play by raising front off the ground and hold 9.15 and $12.30 postitions but no play was noted. Concerned that both wheel hub bearings were defective from new since they leaked from new. I am assuming the next step would be play and wobble once the front hubs fail, then eventually front wheels falling off.

My vehicle has had a vibration at highway speeds between 65-75 mph since I purchased it. The vibration is annoying and at times I've had to slow down to reduce the vibration which I feel could become unsafe. The vehicle rides smoother than any other pickup I've ever owned at lower speeds, my expectations are for it to ride the same way at any speed. The vibration seems to be coming from the rear of the truck and can be felt in the seat and floorboard. The problem seems to worsen while traveling on highways with wide sweeping turns. I've taken it to the selling dealership twice, the first time they reported 2 of the tires were bad and were replaced. I took it back a second time for the same issue and was told they could not detect a vibration or find anything which could be causing one. The problem persisted so I took it to a different dealership. They balanced the tires, rotated them and claimed the problem had been resolved. The problem had not been resolved and if anything has gotten worse after the third attempt to correct the issue. I have seen this issue reported by others. I've had the vehicle at servicing dealerships 3 times and 2 separate independent national tire chains and the problem persists.

2015 Ram 1500 sport 4X2 - when traveling on the highway at speeds above 65 mph, the rear end begins to vibrate/shake to the point controlling the vehicle becomes a concern. If you slow down it goes away but then comes right back when going 65 or over again. Vibration is felt in the seat but not the steering wheel or pedals. Was taken to dealership on 9/11 and tires were re-balanced. Dealership stated that fixed the issue when it did not. Going back to dealership on 9/28 to have it looked at again. This has been reported by many and needs to be fixed before someone loses control of their Ram vehicle and crashes. If I were to hit a bump it would be very easy to lose control due to the horrible vibration.
