Driving down the highway the smooth ride changed to a challenging experience with the vehicle no longer keeping a straight track. When going over minor bumps the rear end would bounce and felt like it was hitting the frame stops.
Shut the vehicle off and restarted it. The screen which indicates the suspension position went black.
Called dealership for an appointment to troubleshoot the system.

Truck was undriveable, it left me stranded, and I had to wait 2 hours for a ride.

Not much to add that any Ram owner in a cold climate doesn't already know. I just wanted to add my voice to this format, since I have been joining any forum or site that is vocal about the air ride COLD WEATHER DEFECT.
FCA needs to step up and replace the air ride affected owners with standard coil-over suspension. Period. That's the only thing that will fix our trucks.
I have vowed to my dealer that I will park my truck at the shop door every single time I see a warning on my dash telling me I can't raise or lower my truck. Or wake up to the "drunk truck" sickness we are all too familiar with.
I can't wait to join the class action case that is sure to start sooner than later.
FCA will fight against us, we just need to be louder and fight dirty.

While out of town Dec 22, 2017 my front end dropped having me drive back to our dealership 2 hours away. HORRIBLE feeling not knowing if I would make it back in one piece. Brought the truck in got a Journey as a loaner until the next day which I had to go back in and get a rental truck. Had I not specified a truck I would have ended up with a mini van.
I picked up my truck Jan 2, 2018 after the compressor and relay had been replaced. I had drove maybe a total of 30 kms and the morning of Jan 4, 2018 I went to start the truck and to my surprise it dropped AGAIN! Not impressed brought the truck back in and was told I could only be given a Chevy CRUZE as a rental because where I live there were no rental trucks available. Still paying our weekly truck payment and driving a sh*t box are you kidding me?!?!
Chenier Motors dealership only have offered to sell me a 2018 demo truck for more money OR extended warranty for 3000$ compared to 5000$. WOW unbelievable. I was told this will more than likely happen all winter long at this rate and unknown when I will have my truck back to drive totally fixed. I AM SO UPSET and the worst part is that the dealership knew these issues have happened when we purchased and failed to mention it. I want my truck fixed never to have this issue again OR give me a 2016 or newer truck paying the same payments.

4 corner air suspension does not work properly below 0 f In Anchorage and temperature was -5 F. started truck in the morning and first thing that comes up on the dash is compressor is cooling down. I had not even attempted to raise truck as i had left it in normal ride height from the previous evening. After about 10 minutes of running I attempted to raise truck to off road 1 which it did with no problem, so it appears when ever it gets below 0 F- the suspension will not work properly. Contacted Ram hotline and they suggested I try a different dealer to seem if they have a solution. In other words getting the run around. I do have an appointment with the other Dealer here in town and will update after the appointment.
Update from Jan 28, 2017: Made the appointment at the other dealer in town. They found a leak in the front right air bag and ordered a new one. Air bag put in 1/6/17 system seemed to work ok until it got cold again. 1/19/17 temperature went to -24 below and suspension started acting up when I attempted to raise the truck to off road 1, finally raised after being parked and left running for about 20 minutes. Shut the truck off and lowered it to entry/exit mode. truck settled down on the left side but right side stayed up. Took the truck back to the original dealer that had worked on the truck and on Friday the 20th they informed me the compressor was bad and they had to order one. Informed on Monday the 23rd that there are no compressors in the system so they have to wait until one is built. Stopped by today to check on the progress and was informed that I should be hearing from Ram about the compressor. When asked if it would be sometime next week before the compressor came in was told it would probably be at least 2 weeks. Truck is sitting at dealership waiting on parts. Have not heard from Ram as of this writing (1/27/17)

Attempted to go to Whitehorse Y.T. to pick up a trailer. Suspension started acting up approx. 500 miles from home temperature was approx. -20 F. at the time. Suspension would not pump up and basically the front end was in entry/exit mode until I got to Whitehorse. Suspension stated working in Whitehorse where the temperature was approx. 0 F. Decided that if the suspension was acting up I needed to forget about retrieving the trailer so returned to Anchorage. Approx. 300 miles from Anchorage suspension collapsed on the drivers side and dropped to entry/exit for drivers side but remained at normal ride height on passenger side. Drove it back to Anchorage and took it to the dealer who found a bad valve which they replace.Truck works fine above 0 F. but anything lower than that suspension doesn't work. Dealer is unable to fix and when I called the Ram hotline, the only answer I received was that it is an isolated problem and they suggest I find a different dealer to look at the problem.
I have contacted dealers in Fairbanks AK where the temperature gets to -40 F., Whitehorse Y.T. which sees temperatures to -40 F., Bismarck, N.D. which gets below 0 F. temperature, and Dawson Creek B.C. which sees temperature of -40 F., all have had issues with the air suspension issues and have not found a fix.
Contacted Ram helpline and there answer is its a dealer issue. They stated that I could use my rental agreement to rent a truck to go get the trailer. Told them that I did not pay $52000.00 for a truck that has limited capabilities to which they apologized but offered nothing to fix the truck

After owning the 2016 Ram 1500 BigHorn Crew Cab 4x4 with the 3.0L EcoDiesel the factory air suspension failed and left me with no suspension at all. I took the vehicle to the local dealership thinking that the problem would be repaired under the extended warranty that I purchased through the dealership when I purchased the truck but was informed that the suspension was not included and the cost to repair it would be $4400. They said the issue was the compressor and the air relay component. I purchased aftermarket compressor and air relay component and had them installed by the dealership which only put a bandaid on the situation and although the air suspension still didn't function as it should, it at least had some suspension for about a week and then it completely failed again.
Now I am just trying to save enough to repair the factory suspension or replace it with coil springs and gas struts. Obviously there is more going on than the compressor and air relay component or the new parts would have fixed the problem. Now the vehicle has been to the dealership 3 times for the same problem but never been properly diagnosed therefore I don't know what the best and most cost effective option to take!!!! This is obviously a very WIDELY known issue as when I google it there are many others on google, YouTube and other forums discussing the air suspension problems especially in cold weather.
