The contact owns a 2017 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the ABS, traction control, and brake warning lights were displayed on the instrument panel. The contact added brake fluid to the brake fluid reservoir; however, the warning lights returned soon afterwards. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer where the braking system was serviced; however, the warning light returned after the repair. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where a diagnostic test showed that the brake module was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000.

The contact owns a?2017 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the "Service Trailer System Brakes" and "4WD Disabled" messages were displayed. Additionally, the cruise control was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who replaced the front hub sensor, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, who determined that the ABS control module needed to be replaced; however, the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V653000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic, Electronic Stability Control); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately?180,000.
