On 7/16/2021 I was driving my truck when with no warning at all it completely shut off and would not restart and would not let me take the key out. I had to call for a tow truck to pull me out of the drive thru I was stuck at and my truck is currently at my mechanics shop. I was fortunate that this incident took place while moving at a slow speed while in a drive thru at a restaurant. If this had taken place while driving on the freeway or in traffic, I believe I would most likely be dead right now, this was a total shutdown of my truck with absolutely no warning. I called the dealer to advise of the incident and ask if there were any known issues and they were quick to say that only 2018 dodge ram 1500 trucks had this issue and it had to be my battery. Both Triple AAA tow truck driver and mechanic shop that currently has my truck have confirmed that the battery is working perfectly and has no issues. I purchased my truck Oct of 2017 and I am worried that I might have a faulty computer system. Can someone please investigate this incident, I had my 15 yr old son in the truck with me and as I mentioned before if this had happened on the freeway at 75 mph and it completely shut down this same way, we most likely would have been in a major accident and injured and possibly killed. My mechanic spent the entire day trying to find the problem with the truck but is not able to obtain any error codes from the computer. It seems impossible that my truck can completely shut down with no warning, fail to start, fail to be able to remove the key fob from the ignition and yet there is no error showing in the system.

Vehicle begins shaking between 68-73 mph on several different highways. I wanted to make sure it was not road conditions. The steering wheel doesn't shake but the vehicle vibrates. May be coming from the rear of the vehicle. Replaced all four tires with brand new and had them balanced, had the vehicle aligned. Same problem occurs. This seems to be a common issue. Vehicle has 34,212 miles. Had tires rebalanced after 150 miles of use. Issue did not go away.

I have a 2017 Ram 1500 eco diesel. I have received a recall on it for the diesel egr cooler. I brought the vehicle in once and after a computer check with the service department, they said that it did not need to be replaced. Chrysler sent me more recall notices that said I needed to get it repaired. I spoke with Chrysler and told them that I had it checked and they informed me that I did need to have the recall fixed. I scheduled another appointment for Oct 16 to get it fixed. After my truck was at the dealership all day, I decided to call and get the status on the repair only to be informed that the service department was not going to repair it because there was no check engine light or leak. I found this odd for a safety recall, so I checked with Chrysler again and read the recall instructions. The instructions clearly state that the recall is to be fixed and the only reason to check for a light or a leak is to see if the manifold is bad also. Im not sure why any safety recall would not be fixed asap, especially when the recall says to get it fixed immediately..

Uncommon vehicle vibrations felt while idling. While driving, vehicle shakes at all speeds and becomes more pronounced the faster the velocity. After having routine maintenance performed at chapman las vegas vehicle was returned to me. When I took possession and started the vehicle at chapman las vegas it misfired (uncontrollably shaking) and the check engine light turned on. Dealer ended up keeping vehicle another day to inspect misfire/check engine light issue. According to chapman las vegas they could not identify the reason for the misfire/check engine light and had me pick up the vehicle the next day. Ever since that incident the vehicle has become unstable and constantly shakes. I was advise by chapman las vegas to "continue driving the vehicle until engine light comes on" as they can't figure out the problem for the continued shaking. This has been going on for a few weeks now. I do not feel safe continuing to drive a defective vehicle. I'm now starting to feel and hear rattling sounds while making turns. Not sure if its at all connected but again the vehicle does not feel safe. Spoke with service department agent today and will be dropping the vehicle off again. On top of the shaking now the rear view camera is not working properly. Ive taken videos of the rearview camera issues. Unfortunately I can't video the vibrating vehicle. On 9/14/2020 at approximately 9:30 am an employee of chapman las vegas (mechanic mark) did a drive along with me so that he could asses the shaking of the vehicle. He confirmed that in fact it was shaking. He advised that he thought it might be an issue with the tires. I immediately (1 hour later) went and had the tire tread checked, tires rotated and balanced. The shaking still continues!

We have a recall from last year that they say they have no idea when or if it will or can be fixed on our 2017 Ram 1500 eco diesel due to the safety hazard (fire/explosion) of this recall and that they have had plenty of time to fix it, we asked for a loaner vehicle until ours could be fixed. The dealer refused. Since it's been at least 6 months with no repair in sight, we decided to trade it in on a new Ram. The dealer offered us $12,000 less than we still owe on the recalled Ram due to the recall that can't be fixed! we are stuck paying for a dangerous lemon and believe they should be made to buy it back for what we still owe. Please help!!

This vehicle has terrible pedal lag. When I press the accelerator, there is a 2-6 second lag response to accelerate. While moving forward and pressing the accelerator, when the lag catches up to the accelerator it's like it kicks into high gear (jerks) and advances. Taking off from a stopped position is the worse because it's frighting - you don't know how long the lag will take to recover. When in motion at highway speed and accelerating to pass someone, the lag does the same thing. It happens all the time, unless you accelerate very slowly, and keep your speed slow. I've driven this truck for 13 months now. The dealer said the problem will go away as you drive it..well, it hasn't.

Vehicle began intermittently "popping" or "jerking" while driving and would have gear issues such as appearing to remain in 1st gear or would fail to go into reverse. The popping into a lower gear would happen while the vehicle was moving and thus caused an immediate traffic slowdown and potential accident situation. Also, the vehicle would fail to reverse at time and would only remedy itself after turning the vehicle off and then back on. The check engine light would intermittently come on and off and almost a year ago, I was advised by the dealer (tallahassee Dodge) that there was a gear ratio issue. However, when I received the vehicle I was told that another sensor had a leak and there was no indication of a transmission issue (at 55K miles). Now, the vehicle has been having the same intermittent issues and I have returned it to the dealer for repair, now the dealer states the vehicle is out of warranty and the issue is an internal transmission problem that needs to have a new transmission installed.

The "service electronic throttle control" light as well as the "cel" illuminate and the vehicle goes in to limp mode. I had this issue at 3100 miles and it left the vehicle inoperable until a dealership performed a programming flash. Now at 31100 miles the issue has happened again nearly causing me to get T-boned due to the limp mode causing a significant power reduction. The truck has been sitting at the dealership for four days now without any further communication from them. This is a major safety issue that needs to be addressed by Ram, my truck has the ecodiesel engine. I have found many other complaints on this same issue across the Fiat/ Chrysler lineup.
