The dealer called me insisting that there was a "significant safety recall" on my truck and I needed to bring it in for a "software update". Now my truck shifts into park anytime I open the door while backing up my trailer.
I never asked for this "upgrade" and I need it removed. My truck is actually less safe now because I am unable to safely back it up with a large trailer. They claim this is necessary but I don't know of a single other vehicle with this feature.
Had I known this was going to happen, I never would have purchased the truck. I would have bought the F-150 that doesn't have this feature. As a matter of fact, I tested this very feature in the dealership parking lot prior to buying the truck. Now all Chrysler will tell me is "tough sh*t".
I should have listened when my friends all told me to stay away from Mopar. They build garbage and have zero customer service.
