This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Ram dealer.
I've been dealing with the truck not being able to be refueled since I purchased my 2018 Ram 1500 Laramie last February and finally had enough of the long fill-ups. The pump would click off automatically, regardless of gas station, causing me to take 20 freaking minutes to fill up. Horse crap for a newer vehicle.
The dealer was not surprised and noted it was an issue on a lot of new Rams. I spent over $150 on "repositioning" of the filler neck and that did nothing. Then the dealer said that TSB 14-001-22 just came out dictating the gas tank must be replace and told me to call FCA customer care to get reimbursed. Customer Care did nothing so far and told me to pound sand. Gas tank replacement is about $900. I'm not sure the dealer knows what they are talking about either since web search shows the TSB they claimed just came out actually was created years ago.
So I've spent over $1,000 on something that should be pretty figured out by now.

Sometimes the problem is bad enough that I can't get single gallon of diesel in the tank, sometimes it helps to switch pumps. I found one pump that I can fill up 50% of the time. The local dealer isn't much help since I purchased my truck out of state, always put at the back of appointment list, and any appointments are 1 month out. I've been waiting over year for the EGR recall.

When fueling, the pump stops every 10 sec. Taking me about 20 min to fill up.

Cant fill my gas tank with gas, basically can only pump $0.75 at a time, it's fairly annoying. Dealer covered it under basic warranty, but it was a 2 day repair.

This is the second time I have taken my Ram 1500 Laramie in for difficulty fueling, and basically this time they said it was the check valve in the gas tank. The first time it was covered under the basic 36mo/36,000mi warranty; my warranty is 1 month over the time and thank god I bought the extended warranty, I only have to pay $100. I estimate probably over $800 if it wasn't covered.

2018 Ram 1500 Express quad cab 5.7 Hemi.
About a month back March 2020 never had this issue before until then. I can't fill up without the gas dispenser nozzle shutting off ever 5 to 10 seconds. It takes me almost 20 minutes to fill my truck up. It clicks off every 5 to 10 seconds. This is really annoying!

Brand New 2018 Rebel purchased in 2019. I did not have any issues in the beginning. The mileage reached about 6000 at this particular time and tried to fill the gas tank. It kept shutting off every quarter gallon. Aborted fill up at this particular Gas Station and drove to another one 10 miles away.
Same problem. It took 20 minutes to fill the tank and I'm not even sure it was filled all the way. This is a BIG issue. RAM will be notified today.
BUT, I have another problem. I have a Uconnect radio that was ordered 2 months ago (mid Sept) because the Antenna is defective and the Navi will not work without it.
Since they have taken sooo long for the first problem, who's to say they wont wait longer to resolve the second problem?
Step up RAM, this is my 3rd new truck. If you cant take care of loyal customers, I'm going to trade this in for YOUR CLOSEST COMPETITORS NEW TRUCK and never look back!

Trouble inserting gasoline nozzle into gas tank receptacle, when finally done refueling had a very hard time removing the nozzle from the tank.
(Could this be a California problem)

Had trouble inserting gasoline nozzle into gas tank receptacle, so could not pump gas. Finally got gas to pump, then when finished could not remove gas nozzle from gas tank.

I have noticed many Ram truck owners have this refueling problem and I wonder why a recall has not been issued. I doubt I will be buying a Ram the next time.
