I have had this happen several times and am truly sick and tired of it. When I have my rear avoidance turned on and I place the car in reverse, the brakes will some times automatically engage when I am backing out of my driveway. There is nothing around me at all, no cars, nothing - yet it has stopped several time. The noise is terrifying and your heart stops as it feels like you have hit something.
