I took my truck to the RAM Dealership to check my ABS light on and Brake light on and 4 warning messages that the Brake system needs to be serviced. In the afternoon I called the dealer and the answer was that the ABS module failed and needs to be replaced, but the part is on national backorder and they cannot provide an estimate on when and even if a part will ever be available for my ABS module repair. Now I will be handed the keys to my truck back tomorrow where all warning lights are still on and no repair is even on the horizon, and it is still safe because the hydraulic brakes are still working. The ABS module however might not be replaced in a long time and I will be driving my vehicle without it working properly.

On August 20, 2025, my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie was taken to the dealership for diagnosis after showing the warning -??Electronic Stability Control system needs service, -?? along with a flashing check engine light. The dealer pulled diagnostic codes and documented U0403-00 (-??Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module A-??) as well as other communication errors. This is the same defect covered under Stellantis-?? recall for ABS module failures that disable stability control in 2019 Ram trucks. However, my VIN is not included in the recall. A few years ago, the truck experienced the same warning, but the problem cleared on its own. Now it has returned and is documented with codes in the dealer system. The dealership acknowledged other recalls were already completed on my VIN, but refuses to perform this safety recall since my VIN is not listed. ABS and ESC failures are not the result of consumer behavior. This is a faulty system created at the time of vehicle manufacturing. There has been no accident or outside damage, and nothing the owner could have done to avoid this issue. The defect lies with the vehicle-??s design and creates a serious safety risk for the driver and others on the road. I believe my VIN was excluded from the recall in error and request that NHTSA investigate and expand the coverage.

In November 2024, my 2019 RAM Rebel displayed -??SERVICE SHIFTER, -?? -??PARKING ASSIST, -?? and -??CHECK ENGINE-?? lights. Dealer performed software updates, but one week later the lights returned. Dealer then replaced the parking assist module, but two weeks later the same issue happened again. I have brought the truck in multiple times since. Often the lights turn off before arrival, and dealer states no fault can be detected. I was told to bring it in immediately when the lights are on, which I did, but still no fault found. Problem continues, and now the truck has begun putting itself into park while driving or when stopped. This is an ongoing and serious safety hazard. I also added photos of others affected by the same issue.

The truck lost power steering due to the soldering on the star connecting being messed up. The truck also had 4x4 not available, as well as no brake assist in reverse due to the communication issue. The dealership had to replace the star connector due to soldering issue.

While driving I noticed a message that said -??service electrical brake system. I took it to my local Ram dealer. They hooked up a tablet that said there was something wrong with the ABS module and it needs to be replaced. The tech then told me that there are no ABS modules available anywhere in the country, they are on back order. So here is where the complaint begins. If there are none available, that would suggest to me that an awful lot of these ABS modules have gone bad and had to be replaced I then called Ram customer service and they requested I get an order number and part number from my local Ram dealer. I did so and they had another customer service person call and when I spoke to her she said the ABS modules are unavailable because they are currently under review by their engineers. Which tells me that there is something wrong with the ABS modules. There isn-??t much more of a safety hazard then not having brakes. I don-??t see why a recall has not been initiated by Ram or Chrysler for these ABS modules. I am asking you to start an investigation into this problem. I took my 2019 Ram 1500 to a Ram dealer on 10/21/2024 for the Anti-lock Breaking System Module Configuration Mismatch safety recall 75B/NHTSA 24V-653. There were no warning lights on in my vehicle when it was dropped off. When the dealership attempted to apply the safety recall it caused something in the ABS module to fail, and they then said I needed a new ABS module that will cost $500-$700 to replace. This failure has disabled traction control, antilock braking, and auto start/stop. The dealer said they did not have the ABS module and had no ETA as to when it would be in stock. The ABS module has been out of stock nationally for months with no estimated time of availability. Now, there are warning lamps and messages for the ABS and Traction Control. Now, I am unsure if the vehicle is safe to drive in adverse conditions where ABS and traction control would likely be needed. At the very least, a major part like an ABS Module should be available for a fairly late model vehicle. This defect "repair" has obviously caused the ABS Module failure. The dealer tried to say there was already something wrong with the ABS Module before the repairs were attempted, but neither I nor they noted any warning lamps or messages before the repairs were attempted. If the module had already failed but did not produce any warnings, that sounds like another defect that they should be required to repair.

ABS sensor isn't working so it doesn't stop correctly. They say they can't get a new one because they are back ordered so this must be happening to other Ram trucks besides mine if they are back ordered so far out they can give me an ETA on one.

I am experiencing an Antilock Braking System ('ABS') control module software malfunction that disables the Electronic Stability Control ('ESC') system. Last fall Sept 2024 was the first incident. I was driving back one night to my cabin construction project in Somerset, PA. It rained earlier in the day and everything was wet. I was almost back to the site, my dash lights started wildly flashing. The ESC SYSTEM OFF displayed, the (ABS) light illuminated along with SERVICE THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. The front passenger side tire started to shake, just as I was trying to avoid a large pothole around a bend. My truck slid straight across it and slammed my front end down in the ditch. I had NO CONTROL. It caused my side airbags to deploy and the seatbelts to lock up. I drove out of the ditch, the truck was ok. I was close so i drove to the cabin. The next morning I inspected everything, in addition: the front bumper was bent, fog light hanging, wheel well was bent, and there were a lot of scratches. I am a small business owner, I didn't want my insurance to go up, and was waiting until I could afford to fix it. The latest incidents were during the last two weeks. First, I was driving on a 70 MPH highway, suddenly service air pressure system displayed and passenger tire pressure went to -??0-??, the ABS and ESC warnings displayed, and that tire started shaking. I pulled over to check the tire thinking I had a flat, but it was fully inflated. I turned off the truck, waited 5 mins then started it back up, "fixed" then drove home. Since then, the truck is randomly locking that brake, while I'm driving. THREE separate times it has locked up. I thought I was dragging something one day as I was backing up. Next day I was backing out of my driveway quickly and it caused me to slide into the road. I test drove away slowly, seemed fine. I went through the three stop signs to get out of my plan. It locked up at the third stop sign, as i turned right almost threw me into the sign.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 35 MPH, the vehicle hesitated. There was an abnormal clunking sound coming from the vehicle. The parking brake, traction control, and ABS warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, the stability control and AWD were temporarily unavailable. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the rear sensor was damaged due to the plate dislodging. The rear plate covers the disk brakes had corroded and the bolt had become loosened. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

The service Anti-lock brake system, and service electronic braking system, along with the lights come on. Also the electronic stability control (ESC) disables, and that light comes on as well. The cruise control does not work either. My truck year model is 2019, and a recall has been issued (reference number 75B/NHTSA/24V-653) for this same problem, but my vehicle was not included for whatever reason. I Attached some pics. I really hope and pray, that y'all will be able to add it to the recall Thank you

I have warning lights stating that there is a problem with the antilock brake system, and another warning about the brakes. The electronic stability light is on, and the truck won't allow me to turn the ESL warning on or off. And also, my cruise control doesn't work, which stems from the ABS. There is an existing recall, which includes the year, make and model of my truck, but for whatever reason, my trucks VIN number is not included on the recall. The recall that I speak of, is : Campaign number: 24V653000 I've contacted RAM, and they said for me -??vto take it to the service department, the service department said they can't do anything about it.Sept

When I attempted to suddenly brake once I saw the car in front of me braking, my brakes locked and the truck slid into the vehicle in front of me. The failure of the ESC system did not allow the expected intervention that is relied upon to avoid a vehicle crash without prior warning. I was in the deceleration phase of braking quickly, but the brakes did not respond in a timely manner. I was not made aware of the recall of the ABS control module software until after the accident took place. If I would have been made aware of such a defect I would have taken the precautions and action to repair or remedy the failed system to avoid unnecessary risk to both myself and others. Sep 05, 2024 Manufacturer Recall Number: 75B NHTSA Recall Number: 24V-653 Recall Status Recall Incomplete Summary Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard ("FMVSS") 571.126 S5.1.2 ESC Functionality requires that the ESC system "Is operational during all phases of driving including acceleration, coasting, and deceleration (including braking) [... ]." Suspect vehicles may experience the ESC system being disabled when certain conditions are met. Safety Risk Failure of the ESC system when intervention is expected and/or relied upon can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. Remedy FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall on all affected vehicles to update the ABS control module software.

Vehicle behaved erratically before repair and still does. It seemed a bit better after the repair but issues are still there. It lurches forward when coming to a stop and accelerates in a delayed manner, starting slow and then jumping forward. The 4 wheel drive issues system errors like overheated and function diminished. At times it just doesn't work. Systems turn themselves on. (axle lock) These issues existed since the vehicle was new with the dealership telling me they didn't know what could cause them.

The RAM trailer brake controller has two problems, causing unsafe operation when connected to a camper or trailer with electric brakes. 1) When coming to a stop and feathering off the brake to stop smoothly, the trailer brakes are released too early, this causes the vehicle to be pushed forward, often into an intersection, pedestrian, or a vehicle opinion front of you! Care must be taken to avoid this! Alternatively, the trailer brake controller lever can be manually pressed to avoid the trailer brakes from being released early. The camper was tested by the camper dealer as OK This same camper does not have this problem if tested with other tow vehicles such as GMC, etc. 2) The RAM trailer brake controller does not output a full 12VDC to the connected trailer, even with the gain set to max (10) and full brakes are commanded either by the brake pedal, or the brake controller lever. This causes the trailer to not have full stopping powerm reducing the stopping distance, especially in an emergency stop. If the brake controller output is tested without a trailer connected, it will show 12V output. However, once a trailer is connected, the output drops to about 9.6 VDC. The camper has been tested by the camper dealer and was found to be ok. The camper was also tested with other brands of vehicles (Toyota, GMC, Chevrolet, Nissan), and no other vehicles except RAM exhibit this problem. This problem was also confirmed at a trailer dealer by using an independent trailer brake test meter (IPA #9107B Electric Brake Force Meter). The RAM has been taken to a RAM dealer multiple times since new, and each time the dealer said the RAM is working as designed. I have photos of the tests made on multiple RAM vehicles showing this issue, as well as other brands showing that they do not have the same issue.
