Driving truck and check engine / warning light came on stating that stop / start system unavailable service needed. Contacted dealer and took in for service. By the time I took it back to the dealer the system reset and warning was no longer in system logs. Dealer stated that since warning was not active in system they could not check message and therefore could not repair. Same issue occurred 2 weeks later and resolved itself again. I am now driving truck with out using the start / stop system.

2019 Ram classic big horn. It's been quite a journey with this truck. First, about a month after I bought it (Feb 19) I noticed the bed was a couple of inches to the left of the cab. Turns out, it was the cab needing adjustment not the bed. Drove it for a year fine. 2 months ago I attempted to start and it was dead. The interior lights would work but it would not start'not even try to turn over. I disconnected the neg battery post and waited a few minutes, hooked it up and it started. Drove it for a couple days then, backing out of my garage it died'while moving it just died. It was on the way to the dealer for some warrenty paint repair so I figured I'd disconnect the battery again and drive it over. When I opened the door the alarm went off. Nothing I could do to turn it off. Could not turn the key to off and could not get the key out of the ignition. Pushing the buttons had no effect. Disconnecting the battery silenced the alarm. Had it towed to the dealer. They tried for two weeks to fix it. They changed the ignition module, and it didn't' work. They reprogramed the keys and it didn't work. They reprogramed 1 another new, different key and it didn't work. They programmed two new different keys and said that fixed it (makes no sense why the second key would help). It also doesn't make sense how the key fob malfunction would cause the vehicle to die when it's running. Picked up the truck and drove 200 miles. Then the next day it died while driving straight at 30 mph, in the middle of an intersection. They clearly don't know what's going on with this thing and won't pay to tow it back to their shop. They want me to send it to a local small town dealer, 4 hours from home. I can barely get them to return my calls. The service rep says all they can do is have it towed to the closest dealer.

Sudden loss of engine oil due to engine mounting bracket breaking away from frame causing engine to drop puncturing the oil filter. 7 quarts of oil pumped out all over the hot exhaust and onto the right front brake assembly. When I saw the smoke I slowed down and tried to get to a safe stopping point off of the highway. By the time I got there the low oil pressure indicator came on. When I finally came to a complete stop oil was everywhere under and on the vehicle.I shut the engine off and got out thinking it may be on fire. Thankfully it was not. I also hope there is no engine damage. I called the dealer and had it towed to there shop. I was informed there was an incomplete weld on the frame bracket causing this failure. This sounds like a manufacturing defect to me! I, am not happy with the repairs the dealer is proposing. This truck is 2 years old and has 18,000 miles.

After remote starting the car for a few minutes, I got in the truck and hit the start/stop button and reversed out of my driveway. As I backed out on to the street, the engine shut off and the car shifted itself back to park. I started it again and after a couple of seconds, the car turned itself off again. This happened about 10 times. Finally it stayed on and I drove 6 miles to work. When I got to work, I hit the start/stop button to turn it off and it would not turn off. After a couple of minutes, the car turned off by itself. I started it again and it turned off after a couple seconds. After a couple more times it finally it stayed on for longer than a few seconds but would not turn off with the start stop button. I had it towed to the dealership.

I pulled into a car wash bay at a car wash in mercersburg pa I hand washed the exterior only. When finished I started my truck and the engine raced like full throttle. I turned it of immediately. I let it set a few minutes tried starting it again it did the same thing full throttle. I turned it off immediately. Called shively motors in chambersburg, pa for help and assistance. They gave me a number for a tow company they towed my 2019 Ram 1500 4WD truck to that dealership. It is January 28, 2020. The vehicle was stationary inside a car wash bay. I had not had any issues like this before, first time. It scared me.

Crossing a busy intersection, my truck stalled in the middle of the intersection for no apparent reason. Was eventually able to restart it, but stalled again after approximately two minutes. Has been at cole Chrysler since 9/5/2019. Dealer says it may be the battery associated with the hybrid system. That part has not been available for two months, and there is no estimated time it will be available. After it is replaced, there may still be another problem.

We purchased the vehicle on June 12th, 2019. After many electrical issues we took it to autonation for repairs. On August 27th we picked up the vehicle and they said the keyfabs on our brand new truck were aftermarket and caused over 120 codes. Drove the vehicle on I45 (freeway) southbound from houston tx and the vehicle turned off while in motion. This could have been a very bad accident. Driving at 60mph and engine dying. Had to have vehicle towed to tomball Dodge where we purchased vehicle. The vehicle again had over 120 codes on it. Vehicle is still there weeks later.

I own a 2019 Ram 1500 and the instrument cluster has stopped illuminating. I conducted internet research and learned there is a pending recall for 1... yes 1 Ram truck in the us with this issue. Eureka, I think I've located it! I called the recall phone number for fca and explained the situation. The call taker was unable to comprehend the issue and repeatedly told me I could not speak with a manager. The call taker hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a different representative and she would not allow me to speak to a manager either. This issue is associated with NHTSA campaign number 19V556000. I need this recall to be issued quickly so it can be fixed. According to various sites, the owner (I assume me) will be notified in early September. Maybe we can just take care of this now. I am concerned with the instrument cluster issue since it is the display center for my odometer, and all other warning systems on the vehicle. I have previously taken my vehicle to the dealership for periodic illuminated check engine lights. The first time I was told that the truck had no record of the check engine light ever being illuminated. I took it back after more illuminations kept continuing. The dealership kept the truck for a week and were finally able to troubleshoot the issue. I have also had issues with my rather large radio screen failing to turn on and / or work. Additionally, the brakes squeal like crazy. The dealership was unable to fix this issue and said it was just brake dust. The vehicle had only 2,000 or so miles on it at the time. I believe my truck only has about 3,200 miles on it right now, but I cannot really tell because I cant' see the odometer. I have read various complaints on this site regarding this model and many of them apply to me as well.

As a result, the driver depressed on the the brake pedal and swerved to the left direction crashing into the rear of the vehicle who cut in front and into a curb. The driver sustained a burn injury on his arm but did not seek medical attention. The vehicle was towed and deemed destroyed. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The contact mentioned that the insurance company was conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown. Vehicle is currently at an acution.

I had just finished pumping gas and turned on my truck and shifted from park to drive. When I did this, nothing happened. I thought maybe I didn't turn the truck on so I pressed the push start button and turned off. Turned it on again and shifted from P to D and still nothing. Still in D I very lightly pressed the gas pedal and the truck jolted forward. This happened to me on two separate occasions. I'm not a mechanic but from what I have read, other people with same truck have had this problem and it seems to be the electronic gearbox. I have also heard a noise every time I press the brake that comes from the electronic gearbox and also a noise that comes from the brake pedal itself that sounds like sparks. My truck has under 400 miles as I write this on 07/04/2019. Have had it less than 10 days.

Driving at 70mph the truck without warning went to idle with clicking sound towed to dealer said nothing wrong it was bad fuel not true fuel was fresh. Talked to Chrysler customer service told not aware of problem. I know this is not true talked to other Ram owners had same problem. The problem is when it happens you shut the truck off and restart it, it acts normal. There is some bug in their system that is causing this shut down no one can find it I have heard they have had the same problem with some of their vehicles. Before someone gets killed these vehicle should be taken off the road until the bug is found. I nearly got myself and others killed on the freeway. I have talked to the dealer and Chrysler customer service they will not acknowledge the problem exists they will blame fuel or anything. My truck is a 2019 at the time of the shutdown there was 600 miles on the truck. For now the truck is sitting until I get some answers. I know there are others having the same problem and need help or the proper repair made we the public should not be the test drivers risking our lives for fca.
