1500 Big Horn 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission

During around 1200 to 1700 RPM's while traveling down the road, a loud humming noise can be heard (seems to come and go). This problem is intermittent and seems to happen more when the back seat has someone/something in it. There is a TSB (TSB #08-056-19 REV. A) that appears to be related to this problem, but the dealer has told me that it did not apply to my truck. This TSB accurately describes exactly the same symptoms as my truck is having. When the windows are rolled down, the problem appears to go away. Since the problem is intermittent, the dealer doesn't seem to want to help/troubleshoot. When the humming is active, it is VERY annoying.
