The door is designed to allow water/dirt to exit from the bottom. Don't use the passenger door much. Happened to notice water running from the bottom when opened. Pulling out the spongy door seal from the bottom allowed a fairly large amount of water to flow out. This may be a long term issue where the bottom portion of the door is at increased risk of rusting because the seal does not allow water and dirt to exit, thus accumulating inside the door. Answer might be to periodically open the passenger door and even flush the door to remove the dirt/mud.
