The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. While driving 50 mph, a semi truck struck the front driver's side door of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact lost control and spun around a couple of times. The air bags did not deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact sustained injuries to the spine and base of her skull, her left leg was fractured, and her pelvis was shifted and needed realignment. The contact was taken to the emergency room and was seeking medical attention from a chiropractor several times a week. A police report was filed. The contact stated that the rear passenger tire was destroyed, which prevented the vehicle from being driven. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. Gene's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (located at 3400 S cushman St, fairbanks, ak 99701, (907) 452-7117) was made aware of the failure. When the contact purchased the vehicle on July 1, 2019, she was informed that it had been serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 19V407000 (air bags, seat belts). The manufacturer was notified and opened an investigation. The failure mileage was 3,466.

Since buying this truck (2019 Ram 1500) purchase date 02/09/2019 my airbag light comes on I immediately took it back to the dealership napleton Chrysler Jeep dealership (855)517-8371 they kept my vehicle 3 week after I was told parts will be in 2-3 business days! then 5 days later I was I was told parts are on back order without giving me a replacement vehicle. The service tech (eric) never calls me back I have to keep going back in forth trying to get a status up date on my vehicle.brand new truck and no parts for it nor does can the mechanic find out how to fix it !!!he said the mechanic can't found the problem. I also complained about a seat memory issue that says need servicing continues coming on saying needs servicing. No action was ever taken to repair the pissue. I spoke with the service manager about these issue he assured me that he will work closely with me and service tech to fix the issues it never happen it was just to stop me from complaining about the service I have been receiving and it has been 3 months 10/06/2019 since I last talk to the service manager. I been driving around with a airbag issue which is a safety issue suppose I get into a accident what will happen if the airbag doe's not deploy. I have other issue the Navigator issues the breaks sweaks radio buzz and when back up there nothing behind me and the car stops really hard and flashing warning light red jerking my neck really hard

I was driving the vehicle under ideal conditions and both sides curtain airbag deployed to include the seat airbags. The cabin became smoky, causing the vehicle to veer off the road due to no visibility. The vehicle when up and embankment and back down before coming to a complete stop. Consumer contacted the manufacture immediatedly and was told that an investigator would take a look at the vehicle. Vehicle is currentlly under the possession of usaa and is in the process of being towed to service king, 1635 fort campbell blvd, clarksville, tn 37042 (931)245-1616. Attached is the requested cdr report (edr data) for ODI xxxxxxxx. 'parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).'

As the customer, I found out about the recalls on my own (including one that had been known of since Feb 2019) and had to contact the dealership (who ignored the warning about the recalls during the sale and failed to tell me, the customer) to fix this issue.
