As mentioned in online forums, the temp sensor mounted in the driver rearview mirror sends false outside temps. These temps are at times 10 or more degrees off and do NOT correct themselves as some dealers say they do. Example is that the outside temp is 78 yet the gauge reading says it's 89. Since the outside rearview mirror is black, it absorbs heat and does not correctly indicate the temp. A sepearate silver or white housing may isolate it from the black housing. It is almost always off calibration.
