I took my truck in for an oil change and maintenance, also a windshield replacement. Shop advised me of a coolant smell in the truck and they figure its a heater core leak. Paid 170 for them to confirm, they also advised me that the charge for replacement will be just under $3000, this was after they had already replaced the windshield, wheel alignment and brake cleaning which ran me over $1100. They also informed me that the truck warranty had just ran out at 60000 so I am 7000 over the warranty period.
I never noticed previously the coolant smell till after I got the truck back and it is a very strong smell inside the cab.
