1500 Rebel 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

My 2021 RAM 1500 Rebel was experiencing hard, jolting shifts into reverse from park. Problems were first noticed around 48,000 miles. There would also be sporadic slips during shifts between 2nd-3rd or 3rd-4th gears. The dealership initially replaced the valve body on the transmission (under standard warranty) which seemed to improve the issues temporarily. However, the same shifting problems continued and worsened around 55,000 miles. It was then determined that the transmission would need to be replaced under standard warranty (barely). NOTE: replacement transmissions from RAM are on backorder and have a lead time of up to 45-days.
