back window leaking

Was at the dealer for other recalls and asked them to check the rear glass as carpet was wet. They said it had to be replaced at a cost of over 2700. Never ever mentioned extension of warranty to replace it or at last do the recommended resealing.

Back window seal is defective or not keeping water out

Is there any type of warranty that covers this issue? I feel like this is something the dealership should have taken care of before the vehicle was sold. My vehicle now smells like mildew and my family and I ride around in this vehicle. We’ve been having some really bad rain that’s how I noticed it. I feel like this is something that should be covered under a warranty by the dealership or the manufacturer like I said this should’ve been taken care of before the car was allowed off the lot.
