The vehicle has a constant vibration. It was returned to the dealer with 312 miles. I have copies of each trip to the dealer. The drive shaft showed not aligned properly, the brakes shudder under deceleration, noise was found in the motor mounts. It vibrates at all speeds but at 65 mph there is a roaring sound inside the cab with enough vibration on the steering wheel to put your hand to sleep. I'm not sure if something is going to completely seperate from the drive train, if the brakes are going to fail or motor will seperate from the motor mounts. I've been in the tire and wheel business for 41 years and there is something going on. If there's a vibration at all speeds, something is wrong. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer where I purchased the vehicle and by the area tech advisor who told me on or about September 9th 2023, he knows what's wrong and it can not be fixed. It appears to me that fca is waiting for something to fail before they will fix this problem. I have filed a "lemon law" suit against fca in the state of Texas.

Vehicle shut down while driving slowly after a stop sign. Occurred on first trip of the morning, cooler weather, at a slow speed within neighborhood. After stopping at a stop sign, and pressing the gas pedal, the vehicle shut down. I had to steer it (power steering off at this point) to the right and barely was out of the intersection. It went into park, emergency brake engaged itself. It took several minutes to get the vehicle operational again after following the on-dash instructions to disengage the emergency brake and start the vehicle. It started after 1 failed start attempt. The 2nd attempt is what allowed me to get the vehicle operational again. Whole situation might had been around 2 minutes. 2022 RAM Limited e-torque, 22,596 miles

Driving on wet road, braking system acting strange. Slowed down, dashboard lit up, tried to get off freeway and ended up spinning into wall. Drove home 30 miles on back roads, then slowed down at intersection, dashboard lit up again, parking brake engaged, vehicle locked up, dash kept flashing, could not start vehicle or put in neutral. Dealer states there were multiple failed brake system alerts and had to reset module. Had to tow. Filed a case with FCA in June, have not had a call from case worker, been without a vehicle for almost 3 months because FCA has stated this vehicle may not be safe to drive and that I should not start collision work yet.

While driving in town or on freeway, the engine shuts off and emergency braking system is engaged. No warning lights come on suggesting anything for a code. The dash only says to place truck in park, restart the truck and disengage the emergency parking system. This has been in the shop and they can not duplicate. Dodge is aware of what is transpiring. How is this safe and have not been recalled by dodge" I have children and grandchildren that are usually in the truck with me and this is NOT a safe vehicle to drive at this time!!! This has happened numerous times!!! What if an 18 wheeler is behind me and a fatality happens" I am an er travel nurse. There are plenty of others experiencing this and nothing has been done per the attorney I spoke with. My cell number is [XXX] should you need to contact me regarding this matter. Thank you in advance for taking care of this matter in a speedy manner. As I said prior, this could be fatal to a family due to the negligence of Dodge Ram. The engine has a mind of its own and decides not to do engine breaking even if the driver downshifts. I first noticed this at low mileage when slightly tapping on the breaks would sometimes cause engine breaking as long as I kept my foot off the accelerator. However if I down shifted for additional engine breaking on the same slope the engine would scream revving up to 6000 RPM without slowing the truck at all, NO ENGINE BREAKING! So last week this problem nearly cost my life. I was going down a mountain pass with my 4500 lb RV which is well within the advertised 7000 lb allowed towing capacity but if I let my foot off the gas, no breaking. This is normal and the driver just downshifts to introduce some breaking. So i down shifted from 5th and the engine responded with a self destructive scream reving up to 6000 RPM and yes NO ENGINE BREAKING. I did not think much of it after all I still have the breaks right? So feathered the breaks for about 10 minutes or so thinking nothing of it. Even tapping the break to tell the onboard computer I need engine breaking is not working even though it was working when minimal engine breaking was needed. Out of pure luck I decided to stop at a mountain spring to get some fresh spring water and that is when I notice wait a minute, this car is barely stopping!! I got out of the car just short of the end of the pullover spot and was greeted with the smell of burning break pads! THE FRONT BREAK PADS WERE SMOKING! What is sad is that the same RV on the same pass on my 20 year old 12 passenger van easily manages this when I down shift to second gear with some minor feathering of the breaks and never in 10 years had issue with the slightest heating of the break pads. BY DISABLING ENGINE BREAKING CHRYSLER HAS CREATED A SERIOUS INJURY HAZARD.

On 4/7/23 the vehicle was taken into the shop because it cutoff randomly. The dealership kept it 2 days and said they couldn-??t replicate the issue. On 5/7/23 I was on my way home driving roughly 40-45 MPH. The vehicle shutoff causing my steering to not work and my brakes to not work. I hit a telephone pole head on splitting the telephone pole in half. I spent 16 hrs in the hospital and now have a long road of recovery ahead of me.

My 2022 Ram 5.7 with etorque (25k miles) decided to park itself in the middle of a state Highway. I was coming to a stop at a light and heard some beeping noises from the truck, I looked down and it was trying to put the truck into park while my wheels were still turning. Once I was around 2-3 mph it jammed into park and applied the parking brake. I couldn-€™t move the knob to drive, and my battery light lit up on the dash. I had to turn the truck off and back on again to get it out of park. The truck almost didn-€™t seem to want to turn back on and when I put it in drive, the engine started sputtering and the battery light remained on. I gassed it and barely managed to make my turn without stalling into oncoming traffic because the engine kept acting like it was going to die. I stopped in a parking lot for a few minutes, kept the truck running and started back home. While the engine stopped sputtering it still didn-€™t seem to drive quite right- the truck was surging a little when it shifted and it still had the battery light on. Once I got home (like a mile away) I turned it off and back on a few times with no further issues. Possibly unrelated but I have also been to 3 Ram dealers to try and fix my engine tapping/knocking noise (and sometimes rough idle - maybe lifter related). It-€™s so loud I can hear knocking from inside my truck and from 15-20 feet away in a parking lot. All three dealers stated it was normal, which (obviously) it is not. I-€™ve also had issues with electrical burning smells coming from my engine bay, as well as a leaky rear window (probably over the battery pack). Ram needs to acknowledge the safety issues and mechanical failures and fix them immediately before someone gets hurt, or worse. I have read dozens of reports from this site of trucks parking themselves in the middle of the road and so far nothing seems to be done about it. I have footage on my dash-cam, if they would like to reach out and see what exactly happened.

The vehicle-€™s wheel, brake, suspension, and electrical systems have all failed since June 2022. The wheel and suspension systems have been attempted to be repaired multiple times by two different Chrysler Dodge dealerships. To no avail, no resolve. In fact while I was driving the highway after picking up the vehicle this last time, the tailgate opened and triggered the backup camera emergency brakes. We stopped instantly in the middle of the highway. We didn-€™t hear or know about a recall until three weeks later when we got a letter in the mail. The dealer we purchased the vehicle from did not reach out. All of the problems associated with the truck have been acknowledged by the dealer, second opinion dealership, and Chrysler. The vehicle is a lemon.

On 18OCT2022 while driving on a flat section of road at approximately 35 m.p.h. my vehicle starting shaking at the area of the hood, and then proceeded to make the entire vehicle shake. Shortly after the shaking, the engine died with the message "Start Vehicle" and "Service Electronic Throttle Control", along with the entire dash lighting up. While coasting to a stop, at approximately 15 m.p.h. the vehicle suddenly locked up as it seems to have shifted itself into park, or applied the emergency brake, I'm not sure which causing the vehicle to slide into the grass I had available to pull off into.

Hello. I leased a 2022 Ram 1500 Big Horn V6 "ETorque" on Wednesday Aug. 24th from Planet Dodge in Doral Florida. On the second day (Friday the 26th) I noticed when reversing out of my driveway, the car automatically stalled and engaged the emergency brakes, on the screen it displayed "Auto Park Disabled, " since I had just gotten the truck and not used to it's new features, I thought it was something I accidentally touched or pushed. I had to turn off the truck and restart it. Now on Wednesday August 31st, while getting to a stop light (speed around 15-20 mph) the car automatically stalled and engaged the emergency brakes again and the display read "Auto Park Disabled." Now I'm on a busy street, I had to turn off the truck and re-start it. I was very perplexed and alarmed at the same time because I was about to get on the expressway to head home. I instantly called my sales rep and told him the issues, he asked if the car displayed any codes. I told him no, just "Auto Park Disabled"... he said he's "never' heard of this problem before and if it were to happen again to bring it in, I didn't hesitate I made an appointment to have the truck seen ASAP. I drive my kids to and from school and to after school activities. I DO NOT FEEL SAFE in this vehicle. I've read on other online forums that this type of Ram Engine "Etorque" has been given many drivers problems, some have had their vehicles stall in the expressway. I find it disingenuous that Dodge/Ram has not taken care of this issue sooner or set out to recall these unsafe vehicles with the "Etorque" engine. My kids are not allowed to ride in my truck until this issue is fixed. If it persists...I will enforce my Lemon Law rights in the State of Florida to have the manufacturer take back the truck.

The contact owns a 2022 Ram 1500. The contact stated that immediately after leaving a stop light and making a left turn into a blind corner, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and activated the braking system causing the vehicle to abruptly stop in an intersection. During the failure an approaching vehicle had to swerve to avoid a collision with the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 1,100.

The truck currently has 5804 miles. It has been to the dealership 4 times already for electrical-related issues, and once for a recall on the ECM. Total of 4 CILs by first 1000 miles. Then 1 additional light 8 days ago. Has been at service department since. The first major problem was at apx. 400 miles. The truck shut off at a light, even with the stop/start deactivated, and attempted to restart without success. The starter engaged but the injectors did not. It made a diesel sound until I pressed the start button again to retry, It had a CIL for injector bank misfire, then started back as normal. I drove straight to the dealer (within 2 miles) where they kept it for a week. They called and told me to come to pick it up because there were no issues with it. Apparently, the computer had no stored codes or history. Since then it has had a transmission over temp CIL, and 2 other lights that did not show me a message. The 12-inch Uconnect is constantly having errors and restarting (still awaiting a response from Ram on how to remedy it). The most current issue is when I was pulling away from a stop sign and the truck shifted to park and set the brake while shutting off on its own. Again stop/start was deactivated. Restarted the truck and drove straight to the dealer where it was observed by the service writer and manager that the low battery voltage message (11.5V) and light were on as well as several other lights. While driving it showed a low volt warning and started turning off loads to conserve power. I left the truck with them for 8 days so far. They have checked the truck multiple times as well have driven it. No evidence of any codes in the computer and no error lights anymore. Awaiting Ram to tell them what to do. At this point, I am afraid to drive the truck for fear it will shift to park while traveling at a higher speed and cause an accident. I now have a truck I cannot trust to drive and a hefty payment.

Tow haul mode causes vechical to be stuck in 3rd gear which is very dangerous on highway because of speed limit. Ram case manager clarice McDonald case 82922734 advised me to operate the vechical in all conditions without tow haul mode on. They have no fix. The owners manual states it is dangerous and can damage the vehicle if you do not use tow haul mode when carrying heavy weights. Ram is advising customers to not use a feature in the vehicle that makes towing safer and is required per the manual for heavy weights. It is very dangerous having a manufacture advising customers to tow without the use of tow haul mode. Recall required asap.
