The high pressure fuel pump failed while traveling at approximately 45 mph in the left lane on a public highway in snowy conditions. The truck lost all mechanical power and would not start upon multiple attempts. There were other motorists on the road who could have been endangered if I was not able to safely maneuver the truck to the shoulder. The truck was towed to Ken Garff Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram in West Valley, UT where the service department confirmed that the high pressure fuel pump failed. The manufacturer "prioritized" ordering replacement parts, but is unable to provide an estimated time of arrival for several components necessary to complete the repair. No symptoms, warning lamps, or other indicators were evident prior to the mechanical failure. The fuel tank was 3/4 full with diesel fuel purchased in Utah (where the incident occurred), DEF was full, and the truck had routine scheduled service a week prior performed by a Ram dealership in Canoga Park, CA.

The fuel system issue at RAM has been known for months and still there is no "fix". I have been trying to trade my vehicle since summer (2023) and I am completely stuck because of the issue. Dealers will not take it because they cannot resell it. The value it at auction price which has devalued my vehicle from the ~$81K sticker price to now they say I can buy a new vehicle (same) for ~$69k. They have literally stuck me in the corner without having remedy. Are they even working on it" The OEM's seemingly reluctance to act, in // with accelerating the devaluation of my vehicle, feels like a class action lawsuit waiting to happen. Can NHTSA apply some pressure here on behalf of consumers everywhere" Also sorry but the email links in your website do not work so this was the only way I could find to get a message through. So sorry and thanks.

After coming to a full stop at a stop sign. I proceeded to hit the gas to enter the intersection. The vehicle left the stop sign fine but when I got into the middle of the intersection, the vehicle died. Had to be put in park and restarted. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me. Seems it possibly cause an accident if there was ever traffic coming from the opposite direction. Vehicle only has 10k miles on it and no check engine light is on.

After a cold start, I drove 0.5 miles to an intersection. The engine stalled, the vehicle applied the electric parking brake, and would not move. The dash indicated a shift to park was required. The shift was completed and the vehicle was restarted, but in an unsafe state. The hybrid starter/generator was not charging the battery, and service was required. I have had this truck to the dealer several times for this safety problem but they can't duplicate or fix it. I believe it is the same as 23V-265, but they have not included 2022 models.

Our 2022 Ram 1500 Diesel truck stranded us from approx. 9pm-1am while traveling hours home on a remote MS state hwy intersection and shut our engine down, locked all 4 wheels & disabled our ability to put the vehicle in neutral to push from the roadway. We were left stranded in a main lane of a busy intersection at 10 pm at night. The local PD showed up and had to block traffic and our truck had to be 'pulled' onto/off of a flatbed tow truck (wheels would not turn) and hauled to the local dealer. We had nowhere to go as the local dealer was closed & no rental agencies were open so we had to sit outside in the parking lot of the dealership until midnight for a friend to arrive from our hometown to come pick us up. We are being told that our high pressure fuel pump failed and our truck is part of a recall (that still shows online as 'remedy not yet available'?) & that it may take up to a month to get it back due to parts delays/repair time. No warning lamps or message appeared on the dash prior to this occurring and we received no letter telling us to 'seek service asap'...the letter we recall receiving said the same as what appears online"? Our hometown dealer said they could not offer us a loaner since the vehicle was not in their shop, yet Ram will not tow it to them, and the dealer we left it at 2 hrs away has no loaner vehicles available so we have now had to pay nearly $300 OOP for the tow and call the corp. office to file 'cases' to REQUEST RETROACTIVE reimbursement of the tow expense & a whopping $40/day from Ram towards a rental vehicle! We have now paid nearly $1k OOP in 5 days for towing and rental expenses which only get us to 8/13 and the ETA for repair is not til 8/27 at best. This is clearly in no way a 'timely repair' of a safety recall!" We have called all 3 customer care numbers for Ram to no avail. We need their financial assistance UP FRONT to pay for these expenses while we await the repair of our fully warrantied vehicle!

It's been over a year that FCA has known of the potential dangers of a high pressure fuel pump that suddenly stops working and has not produced a remedy. This is unacceptable. Driving a vehicle knowing that it could, at any time, shut down in heavy traffic and become immobile is unacceptable. If FCA cannot come up with a timely (too late for "timely") replacement part, NHTSA should force them into other options for owners.

On May 5, 2023 I was driving home when my new 2022 Ram 1500 ECODIESEL truck broke down. It has been at the dealership ever since then. The high pressure fuel pump went out. The dealership requested that I call Chrysler and request a buy back process because the pumps has a recall on it. So I called Chrysler and requested the buy back process and was informed by Chrysler today since they don-??t have the parts they are going back with the same pump even though it has a recall on it putting my life and my family life in danger. Please help me! How is possible that they can go back with the same parts when it has a recall on those parts?

There were two (2) separate Repair orders performed in late July 2022 by dealership on 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 Big Horn truck. Afterwards, on 7/21/22 the Fire Dept responded to our home since new 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 truck with 1,225 miles was -€œleaking gasoline-›½ï¸ from engine compartment. The gasoline leak was pouring out the engine compartment onto the driveway and down into the street. This potential fire ðŸ"¥ dilemma occurred just 2 weeks after dealership had replaced -€œall the fuel injectors-€ in the engine. This was a dangerous situation my husband and family were put in due to thus defective truck. In addition, since the inception of leasing this truck the MIL light blinks constantly with daily notification regarding -€œPowertrain Engine Malfunction-€! Seems very negligent for Manufacturer and dealership to have a defective truck that risks the consumer-€™s life and the safety of their family with a fire hazard!ðŸ"¥ This defective truck had another repair order on Nov. 29, 2022 when truck began revving on its own and then lost power on roadway. We had to have the truck towed back to dealership yet again & again. This major defect occurred when the truck lost power while driving and the electrical dashboard oil / transmission indicators were acting erratically. Basically, the repair order indicates that the dealership replaced the same fuel injector that they replaced in back in July 2022 (twice for same replacement part). Lastly, , even after seven repairs the check engine light is continuously going on (indicating never ending mechanical problems). The dealership has never fixed this issue either since the truck is beyond repair.

Driving around 40mph on a busy road way I went to slow down and make a right hand turn into a shopping center. Truck died without warning, dash displayed normal start prompt screen then told me to shift to park. The lady behind me almost rear ended me. So it stopped the truck completley and restarted with no issue. Im now very concerned for the saftey of my family and myself not to mention I do tow a small but expensive bass boat on the weekends which could cause a major accident and or financial loss!

While operating the vehicle the engine and vehicle itself shut down entirely and I was unable to operate the vehicle. Second before the shut down, I did notice a battery light come up and then the vehicle was inoperable. Vehicle wouldn-€™t start back up and had to be towed to the nearest manufacturer dealership. Wasn-€™t even able to put in neutral to push it to a more convenient spot as everything is locked up. Vehicle is still in service as mechanics are unaware of what the issue is. This is a major safety concern because it turned off while driving on the road with no warning signs. Had this happened while I was driving on a fast moving highway, this could have ended much worse.

2022 Ram 1500 Vehicle with approximately 9000 miles, has stalled now twice while driving at speeds of 25 to 35 miles per hour and soon after shifts into park, and then will not start. One was on a busy street that caused risk of near accident, another was in neighborhood. Vehicle was towed after first stall, but dealership only saw stall on computer but did not have any codes or repairs identified. Vehicle also would not start on more than one occasion. Dealership cannot get in to service for 3 to 4 weeks.

Was sitting at a light (auto engine shut-off was on). When the light turned green, lifted off the break to push the gas to go. Truck shut off, all lights on the dashboard lit up and truck was automatically shifted into park with emergency brake on. Attempted to restart the truck several times. Truck finally started after 8th attempt. Was able to put into drive and made it home. Truck now has check engine light on. Checked the app for an error code. Says: Powertrain Engine Malfunction on May 25th, 2022 @ 0920am. EOBD/Injection System Failure. Reading online, seems like this is a common safety error and has caused accidents by instantly throwing the vehicle into park without warning and leaving the vehicle inoperable at times.

While rolling to a stop and turning (3) times and once while slowing for speed bumps my 2022 Dodge Rebel 5.7L V8 Hemi with E-Torque shut off, the emergency brake applied itself and it shifted itself to park. This happened while turning onto a busy street where a bad accident could have happened because of it. There were no warning or indicators prior to the truck shutting off by itself. It has been to the dealership twice with no fix. I have had it for three weeks.
